Here's some really yummy ideas for food :) Hope you enjoy them at your party! Happy Halloween!

Graveyard Crunch

1/4 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 cups POST Cocoa, Fruity or CINNA-CRUNCH PEBBLES Cereal
1 cup PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts
2 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
1 cup candy corn
1 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces

PREHEAT oven to 300°F. Place syrup, butter and cinnamon in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1 min.; stir until butter is completely melted. Add cereal and peanuts; mix lightly. Spread into lightly greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
BAKE 30 min., stirring after 15 min. Cool completely. Break into pieces; place in large bowl.
ADD marshmallows and candies; mix lightly. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Spooky Gloved Munch Mix

6 cups POST ALPHA-BITS Wholesome Sweetened Oat & Corn Cereal
4 cups popped popcorn
2 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
1 cup dried mixed fruit
1 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces
100 candy corn pieces (about 1 cup)
10 clear large plastic food handlers' gloves
10 pieces raffia, each about 8 inches long

TOSS cereal with popcorn, marshmallows, dried fruit and chocolate candies in large bowl or toy witch's cauldron.
PLACE 1-1/4 cups of the snack mix in each of 10 small plastic bags. Give one to each child along with 10 pieces of candy corn, a plastic glove and piece of raffia. Have each child place 2 pieces of candy corn, with the white tips down, in each thumb and finger section of the plastic glove to resemble fingernails.
FILL gloves evenly with snack mix; tie closed with raffia.

2 slices whole wheat bread
3 slices OSCAR MAYER Smoked Ham
1 KRAFT Singles
1 Tbsp. MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
1 lettuce leaf

CUT bread slices into coffin shapes.
LAYER with sliced meat, Singles, dressing and lettuce. Spear each sandwich with plastic toothpick to hold it together, if desired.
CUT sandwich into coffin shape using coffin template and sharp knife. (Click here to print template.) For an even stronger template, trace the template onto a piece of cardboard and cut out.

Spooky Eyeball Tacos

1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL HOME ORIGINALS Taco Seasoning Mix
12 TACO BELL HOME ORIGINALS Taco Shells
3/4 cup TACO BELL HOME ORIGINALS Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
3/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 can (2-1/4 oz.) sliced pitted ripe olives

MIX meat and seasoning mix. Shape into 36 (1-inch) balls; place in 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
BAKE at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through. Fill each taco shell with 1 meatball; drizzle with salsa. Top with 2 meatballs dipped in sour cream. Garnish with olives to make "eyeballs."

Cheesy Mummy Wrapped Dogs

1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
4 KRAFT Singles, cut diagonally in half
8 OSCAR MAYER Beef Franks or Wieners

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Unroll crescent dough; separate into 8 triangles. Top each dough triangle with 1 Singles triangle and 1 frank; roll up.
PLACE, seam sides down, on ungreased baking sheet.
BAKE 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with your favorite condiments, if desired.

Caramel Apples

5 medium apples, washed, well dried
1 bag (14 oz.) KRAFT Caramels (about 50)
2 Tbsp. water

INSERT wooden pop sticks (from bag of caramels) into stem end of each apple. Cover large plate with wax paper; grease paper with butter. Set aside.
PLACE caramels in large saucepan. Add water; cook on medium-low heat until caramels are completely melted, stirring constantly.
DIP apples into melted caramel until evenly coated, spooning caramel over apples if necessary. Allow excess caramel to drip off. Scrape bottoms of apples, then place on prepared plate. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve. Remove from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature 15 min. before serving. Store leftover dipped apples in refrigerator.

Ghosts in the Graveyard

15 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, crushed
3 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 tub (12 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
Assorted decorations: 3 CAMEO Creme Sandwich Cookies, decorating gel, 5 candy pumpkins, 10 pieces of candy corn

POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Let stand 5 min. Gently stir in 3 cups of the whipped topping and half of the cookie crumbs. Spread evenly into 13x9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with the remaining cookie crumbs.
REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, decorate creme sandwich cookies with decorating gel to resemble tombstones. Set aside until ready to use.
INSERT decorated cookies into top of dessert just before serving. Add candies. Drop large spoonfuls of the remaining whipped topping onto dessert to resemble ghosts. Cover and store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Eyeball Cupcakes


1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar, sifted (4 to 4-1/2 cups)
24 ring-shaped chewy fruit snacks
24 miniature candy-coated chocolate pieces
1 tube (19.28 g) red decorating gel

PREPARE cake batter as directed on package. Add dry pudding mix; mix well. Spoon evenly into 24 paper-lined medium muffin cups. Bake as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely.
BEAT cream cheese, butter and vanilla in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition. Spread evenly onto tops of cupcakes.
PLACE 1 fruit snack on top of each cupcake. Add 1 candy-coated chocolate piece to center of each fruit snack for the eyeball. Draw squiggly lines with decorating gel from the eyeballs to outsides of fruit snacks to resemble eyeball veins.

* My husband and I were invited to a costume Halloween Party at a neighbor's house. The hostess had informed us we would be bobbing. (Dunking) We assumed for apples. Well! She had rented a huge, plastic champaigne glass.
* (About 3 to 3 1/2 feet high) It was filled with what looked like water.
* Wrong! It was a gigantic Martini and we bobbed for the olives! It certainly was alot of laughs! We moved soon after and I understand this party has become an annual event. BTW, as I remember, it was necessary to refill this glass more than once!














Halloween Party Pops

Ingredients :

1pktRefrigerated sliceable cookie dough
20xWooden sticks
Frosting

Method :

* Cut dough into aobut twenty 1/2 inch slices. Roll each slice into a ball.
* Arrange part of the balls in a circle on ungreased baking sheets, 3 inches apart and 2 inches from edges. Securely insert a wooden stick into each ball with end pointing toward center of cookie sheet. Bake in 350* oven for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from baking sheet. Cool completely on wire racks. Frost or decorate as desired with ready to spread frosting (or your favorite homemade). ....this is the oldest trick in the book and still is at hit (even with teen-agers).
* Festive and fun!
* Decorate the cookies to make pumpkin faces, spider webs and cat faces. Use assorted seasonal candy for eyes, mouth, whiskers, etc. .....Debbie















Halloween Party Cupcakes

1 1/2cupBisquick original baking mix
1/3cupSugar
1/3cupMilk or water
2tblShortening
1tspVanilla
1xEgg
1pktBetty Crocker fluffy white frosting mix
Toppings (see instructions)

Method :

* HEAT oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour medium muffin cups, 2-1/2x1-1/4 inches, or line with paper baking cups.
* BEAT all ingredients except frosting mix in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed 4 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Fill muffin cups about one-third full.
* BAKE about 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately remove from pan; cool completely. Prepare frosting mix as directed on package. Frost and decorate cupcakes as directed below. 16 cupcakes.
* Black Cat: For each cupcake, you will need 1 square chocolate wafer thin mint, small pieces black shoestring licorice, 3 small jelly beans, 1 small gumdrop. Stir small amount of cocoa into frosting until desired color.
* Frost cupcake with frosting. Cut mint diagonally intn fourths; place 2 pieces on cupcake for ears. (Reserve remaining pieces for another cat.) Use jelly beans for eyes and nose; use licorice for whiskers. Cut gumdrop to use for mouth.
* Ghost: For each cupcake, you will need 2 large marshmallows, 2 minia- ture marshmallows, 2 semisweet chocolate chips. To make ghost, cut 1 large marshmallow in half; attach cut marshmallow to whole marshmallow with small amount of frosting. (Reserve remaining marshmallow half for another ghost.) For eyes, press chocolate chips into marshmallow head. For hands, make 4 small cuts in each miniature marshmallow to form fingers; flatten slightly. Attach marshmallow hands to ghost with frosting. Frost cupcake; place ghost on top. Frost top and bottom of ghost.
* Gravestone: For each cupcake, you will need 1 oval cookie, black shoe-string licorice, 1 smallgumdrop. Frost cupcake; sprinkle with cocoa.
* Decorate cookie to resemble gravestone; press into cupcake. Make flower using licorice and cut gumdrop.

* October 22, 1997 It's almost Halloween, and your little monsters are champing at the bit. They want to have a party, but you're too busy to do much planning or baking. Take a cue from Sally Mills, a member of the Cedarburg City Council who is leaving the planning to her 13-year-old daughter, Leslie.
* Halloween is the perfect holiday to let kids' imaginations run wild, and to let them practice in the kitchen. With supervision from adults, planning a Halloween party can be a great experience for kids.
* Leslie Mills is inviting 13 friends to her party. She and her friends will entertain another 12 kids: Leslie's 8-year-old twin siblings, Kelly and Kyle, and 10 of their friends.
* Is her mother crazy?
* Of course not. She set parameters for the party and made her expectations clear. She told Leslie that she needed to find another adult chaperone - perhaps the mother of one of her friends. She also went over Leslie's written game plan to make sure there were enough activities for the younger kids. Leslie, who began planning the party in September but didn't get final approval from Mom until last week, came up with some great ideas to feed and entertain her guests. "Since we'll have little kids here, we'll get small, tart apples at the orchard to make caramel apples," Leslie said.
* She'll also buy apple cider at the orchard.
* Leslie may borrow a simple idea from a cable TV show for a pumpkin-shaped cake. (More about that later.) Here's the best part: Leslie decided the rest of the party food should be potluck. Her friends will each bring a favorite treat to pass. "I told them 'nothing gloppy' because 8- or 9-year-olds will be eating it," she said. "If they can't think of anything else, they can bring Halloween Oreos."
* Leslie figures the unfinished basement in her house is perfect for the party. She'll do a black and orange theme with crepe paper.
* Each of her friends will oversee an activity booth with themed costumes.
* Two "ghosts" will be in charge of the ghost bean bag toss; two "dead people" with nooses will assist the little kids with a lively ring toss; two "fisherwomen" will oversee the fishing-for-candy game; two "gypsies"
* will be fortune-tellers who will predict a sweet treat for each child, Leslie revealed); and "creepy hands of scary monsters" will pop out of a well to dispense candy.
* At first, the witches were going to serve punch, Leslie said. But then she decided they should be stationed at the booth with the cooked spaghetti and peeled grapes. You know the game: the grapes are a dead man's eyes, the spaghetti is his brain . . . "I like doing things with little kids," Leslie said, adding, "kids usually say I'm the best baby sitter they've ever had."
* Leslie figures her little brother and sister and their friends can be part of the party for two hours, then her friends can stay another three hours to have their own fun. Donna Roloff, co-superintendent of Sunday school at annual Halloween party for children who attend Sunday school, plus their friends.
* She's making spiders with the help of children who attend the church's before- and after-school care program. They also are invited to the party.
* The spider's legs are thick, black pipe cleaners bent into shape and glued into a clump under the body. The spider's body is a square of nylon black netting, glued to the top of the legs, then filled with candy corn and tied shut with orange and green ribbon once the glue is dry. For the spider's eyes, green Lifesavers with orange M&Ms in the center are affixed to the body with frosting as the glue. To attach the eyes to the spider, two round label stickers are stuck together with the netting layer between. Glue the lifesaver to the exterior round sticker. Each spider leg is inserted into a tiny gum drop foot as a finishing touch.
* Roloff also will make cat "suckers" with peppermint patty heads, chocolate-chip ears and noses, orange Tic Tac eyes, orange Twizzlers Pull-a-Peels whiskers, and orange straws as sticks to hold onto. (The ears, noses, eyes and whiskers are attached with frosting.) Yellow and green ribbons are tied under the cat faces.
* Another fun treat on Roloff's party list is candy corn cups. Her helpers will paint Styrofoam cups - the bottom orange, the middle yellow, and the top left white. She'll fill the cups with candy corn and insert a cookie tombstone. For each tombstone, half of a rounded-edge sandwich cookie (such as a Snackwell or Vienna Finger) is frosted and decorated with a short epitaph, such as "R.I.P." The cups also will contain "bugs" that stick out of the top of the cup. The bugs are made from a miniature gumdrop pierced with a toothpick. Mini-M&M eyes are attached with frosting.
* If you have an artistic flair and some time to spare, an edible haunted house makes a showstopping decoration.
