What should I make for dinner? I'm making it for these guys...?!

Question:

What should I make for dinner? I'm making it for these guys...?

who helped me with my car the other day. They drove 45 min away at midnight just to help me. I want to make them a nice dinner to say thanks. Problem is they don't have a stove so I have to make it at my house and take it over there. Any suggestions?

Answers:
If you are going to have to take it with you, you should make things that will be easy to carry. Make some sort of casserole or lasagna, some french bread, a pie and pick up a jug of sweet tea or something like that.

Make stuffed shells and fresh bread. It travels well and tastes great even if it's reheated in the microwave.

hey,
how about pasta
or even u cud order food and jus make the desert

since they don't have a stove they probably would love anything home cooked. a nice pan of lasagna travels well, so does a huge pot of spaghetti and meatballs. meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies.

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce...it is filling and easy to carry over..throw in a little French Bread and some green beans and you have a great home cooked meal

I agree w/ the other person. Lasagna but make a salad to go with

My mom makes this for me since I am in college. It refrigerates well and can be heated up nicely in the microwave.

MEXICAN CHICKEN CASSEROLE

1 chicken, cooked and cut in pieces (or 1 lb. ground beef)
1 med. pkg. tortilla chips ( I mix nacho cheesedoritos and tortillas)
1/4 c. onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
Chili powder to taste (1 tsp.)
Garlic powder to taste (1/2 tsp.)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can Old El Paso tomatoes and green chilies (10 oz.)
1 sm. pkg. Cheddar cheese

In 9x13 pan place tortilla chips. Mix meat, soups, can of tomatoes with green chilies, with chili powder, garlic, onion, and green peppers and pour over chips. Grate Cheddar cheese and sprinkle on top. I put small chuncks of velveeta on top too if I have it.
Bake at 350 degree for 1 hour. Can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. Serves 6-8.

I would do some kind of pasta, stuffed shells, manicoti, baked ziti spagetti and meatballs and if you cook it at your house and then put the trays of food into a cooler and close the cooler tight it will help it stay warm. I do it allot

Sweet and sour chicken

This recipe assumes that you are using one chicken

- Yogurt
- Vinegar
- Bell peper
- Tomatoes
- Lemon juice

Spiced Potato (I am assuming that you are using about 8 potatoes)

1. Take 1 large onion and chop it up (about 2 cm per piece)
2. Heat up a skillet/any type of pot you like and add the onions in some cooking oil
3. Cook for about 5 mints
4. Add pepper, and a can of salsa
5. Add about a cup of yogurt and a cup of boiling water
6. Cook for about 15 mints
7. Check if the potatoes are done
8. As soon as the potatoes are done add some chopped ginger, 1 chopped bell pepper, 2 large tomatoes and fresh cilantro. Cover the pot for about 10 mints to steam the pepper and tomatoes
9. ENJOY

Both of these are microwavable very easily.

Lasagna and garlic bread. They'll love it!

Do it picnic style-- fried chicken legs, pasta salad ( spaghetti or fav pasta, chopped veggies coated in creamy ital dressing) and a dessert that you can put together there--like a trifle bowl, just layer pudding, whipped cream, cake/brownie pieces in a bowl and serve or brownie and cookie platter

You could make them lasagna. Almost everyone loves it. You could also make a few home-made burgers on the side and a big bowl of green salad. You can keep the lasagna warm by wrapping it in foil.
Another option would be to make them pizza. Everybody loves pizza. You can make a nice tuna salad to go with that. Wrap pizza in foil and the tuna salad should be chilly.
It's nice of you to pay them back. Have fun!

the same as Betsy's mewse but also add a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies.Guys love them.

A nice roast beef or meat loaf, baked potatoes, salad. They all travel well. Brownies for dessert, with ice cream.
