A friend of mine is attending a 20's themed wedding.

I am getting married in about 7 weeks on a cruise so we are going with a beach/tropical type theme.

We will be having a "reception" celebration sometime after we return and are going to continue the theme.

We have napkins with seashells; gift bags as favors with seashell bottle stoppers, beach chair drink coasters, and seashell picture frame/magnets.

My attendants colors are sort of a seafoam/mint green with ivory.

Our cake topper is a tropical breeze heart made from palm trees with a couple kissing under the breeze (ivory porcelain).

Our ring pillow, guest book, and pen are all ocean themed with shells.

Anyway, that's my theme....Good luck with yours.

mine was simple and elegant. the colors were black and white, though my husband wore his Class A uniform. So what we did is we did white bows for the pews. The reception we had black and white stuff, like silverware, plates, candles and such. Less is more, keep that in mind :)

I used silk flowers that I bought and arranged, and because my colors were blue, silver and white, I was able to pick up bows left over from Hanukkah decorations (on clearance at Hallmark). We wanted that dark blue to go with my husbands Dress Blues.

I used my parents cake topper, but added silk flowers around the base. My mom decorates cakes, so she made mine to match the other decorations.

I had a small outdoor wedding with close friends and family. We didn't want to spend all our savings on something elaborate or over the top. We planned a simple ceremony with a JP and had dinner in a restaurant before heading to Canada for a week in Old Quebec. It was incredible! I had no problems with parents or in-laws, no problem trying to explain why every child on the planet couldn't attend and when it was done we had a nice big savings to start off our new life. This year marks our 25th Anniversary. We are sooooo happily married with two grown sons who have been a great blessing to our life. If I could do it all over, I would do it the same way.

We went with a nautical theme next to the Columbia river. We don't live on the coast, but we love to sail and dream of sailing around the world one day. We had little sailboats and lighthouses for name holders and instead of lighting the unity candles, we poured sand into a vase. We also had shells, Siamese fighting fish, and flowers on the tables. As favors, we had candles with shells in them. I bought practically everything off of eBay. The most money we spent was for the dress and rings. I think it si more important to be organized than have a lot of 'stuff" I wasn't as organized as I should have been and I wish I would have.

I got married in December, so pine trees, white lights, poinsettias, Red accent bows. It was very pretty with just the white lights on!

Our wedding colors were navy blue and cafe au lait (kind of a light mocha color). My family is Scottish, so we used our family tartan (plaid) a lot. The tartan is navy blue with thin pinstripes of red and green. My father and brothers wore their kilts, we had an aisle runner that matched our tartan, on the tables at the reception we put squares of our tartan in the middle with centerpieces of white roses. Our cake was mocha colored with tartan ribbon around it. Everything else was either just plain navy blue or mocha colored. All the flowers were white roses.

My colors were Red and Champange(Gold) - I use red roses - silk ones. I even found runners - garland I used for decorating. I was luckin my the church we used was the same colors so I didn't have a lot to do. My sister did all my flowers. You can find bouquets already made now at many of the local craft stores - Micheals, Hobby Lobby.

Wish you well.

My neices wedding was beautiful, the reception and ceremony were held in a restaurant that had decking out over a river. I especially liked the fairy lights that were in the sheer curtaining behind the bridal parties table, very magical looking, brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it, BUT dont serve morton bay bugs, I got food poisoning, lucky me got the ONLY bad one, which put a dampener on the rest of my holiday to Qld although it was the BEST time.
