Birthday party menu ideas???!

Question: Birthday party menu ideas!?!?!?
My boyfriend is throwing me a birthday party with about 30 guests attending!. The one thing I'm in charge of is coming up with a meal plan that doesn't require much money and or him slaving away on the grill all day!. (Already tried suggesting that route!.) We aren't looking to do a sit down meal because there'll be alot going on so suggestions for finger foods/ buffet style are excellent! Honestly ANY suggestions are much appreciated!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i just did a party for my daughters graduation!. 30-40 people!.
i fried up 1 package each of chicken legs ($3!.50) and thighs ($4!.00) make day ahead and serve picnic style (cold) 12-15 pieces per pack

1 10# pork butt cooked a day ahead in the slow cooker til it was shreddable then drained then added 1 bottle bbq sauce and kept cooking in cooker on low from morning of party til end of party!. serve w/ kaiser rolls!. cost was 9!.00
(the pulled pork sandwhiches were the talk of the town-yummy and easy and cheap can't beat that)

these two meat dishes are cheaper than serving hamburgers and hot dogs

5 # potato salad cost was 10!.00 for pots!. mayo celery egg and chopped bread and butter pickles

pasta salad- i used thin spaghetti noodles and added italian dressing chopped tomato bell pepper and fresh basil!. another hit!.

make a vegi/relish tray with remaining
celery left over pickles, add some carrots
make stuffed eggs with remaining eggs

sour cream dip and chips just add your favorite spices to sour cream for a cheap and delicious dip

pinwheel roll ups used alot of the same ingredients

seriously i fed everybody and still had left overs for 2 days everybody was eating non stop pretty much from 12-6 and came back for round two at 8 i spent less than 100!.00 for food and supplies
1 made a jug of fresh lemonade and one of iced tea and put out beer only for the adults- sodas get costly
all this can be put out ahead on your table and guests can eat as they pleaseWww@FoodAQ@Com

Beef brisket!. Buy a large brisket, cook a day ahead of time (can cook in the oven); refrigerate; slice when cool; warm in the oven the day of the party!. Your guests can make their own sandwiches!. Or pulled pork!. Cook ahead and shred!. Warm the day of the party and let guests fix their own sandwich!. If there's a BBQ place, you could buy the meats from the restaurants!. Serve with potato Salad; macaroni salad; deviled eggs; chips, dip!.

Mexican Food!. Cheap!. Just set up buffet style: Hamburger (after cooking, keep warm in a large crock pot); taco shells; lettuce; tomato; olives; onions; shredded cheese; salsa; cheese dip; sour cream; spanish rice; enchiladas (assemble the day before and bake the day of the party)!. Margaritas & Beer for the adults!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
