If you want to go really retro, try Elvis Presley's "Blue Hawaii". Or how about the soundtrack to "Lilo and Stitch"? It's full of re-worked Elvis songs.

Or, how about a Buena Vista Social Club record? It's old school Cuban music.

Bob Marley's "Babylon By Bus" is great party music. It has "Positive Vibration", "Lively Up Yourself", "Stir it Up", and "Jamming" - - all classic, happy, island music.
