70's night party...any ideas?!


Question: 70's night party!.!.!.any ideas!?
So me and my friends decided to have a party and the theme is "70's night" we thought of like dressing up like the people from the 70's and play 70's music and we'll make a DIY disco ball, I say it's impossible but we have a low budget so no real disco ball, anyways we need more ideas like the food and other stuff so please help!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't confuse early 70's (Hippie era) with late 70's (Disco) !.!.!. the music and clothes were totally different! !.!.!. You want shine - you should be able to find a disco ball somewhere cheap, or just use shiny silver mylar balloons!. Get some cheap mirror squares and put the food on them !.!.!. shiny confetti strewn on the tables!. The men should wear polyester leisure suits, or flare pants and polyester printed long-sleeved shirts !.!.!.!.!.Hot pants and white go-go boots for the girls !.!.!.!.!. The food wasn't that much different from now though (just not as sophisticated): onion dip & chips; cheese balls & crackers; meatballs and franks in crockpots with toothpicks; quiche; Fresca, Tab & Coke to drink !.!.!.!.!.!.!.brownie & cookie platters !.!.!.!.!.!.!.Go-go dancers in cages were popular then!. If you have a STURDY square table, maybe you could put crepe paper "bars" taped to the tabletop and ceiling, for some of the girls to dance in:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Disco Dancing and 70s foods, including cheese and meat platters, veggies and onion dip, chips, pretzels and crackers!. Fresh fruit plates with a sweet whipped cream cheese dip was also popular, back in the day!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fondu used to be a big hit- either cheese or chocolate with lots of stuff to dunk!. Look at Craig's list in your area for a cheep disco ball!. Go to thrift stores for the clothes!. (Salvation Armies have 1/2 price Weds)Www@FoodAQ@Com
