Hey - great idea to have a one of a kind party! Best to start with what you like and what your friends like. Are they movie fans? Then try Come As Your Favorite Hollywood Star (or Movie Character). Give out Oscars for best costume, play old movies... Do they love to dance? Have a 50's revival, again prizes for best costume and you can have loads of fun with the music choices... a beach party/luau with the Beach Boys music, grill food outside and limbo contest?

If you want to give a smaller party have you ever tried one of those Murder Mystery Games you can buy (they are for adults)? They come complete with invitations, menus, costume suggestions & directions and are for usually 8 people. I remember all the ones I've been to of those even from 10+ years ago. People just love to get into their character. Bet you could find them at Toys R Us or on eBay.

Have fun!
