Gradutation Party Help!!!!?!

Question:

Gradutation Party Help!!!!?

My sister is gradtuating high school. It's a big deal because she's had a real rough time but has stuck it out all these years. She doesn't have a lot of friends. My family is in a financial strain right now, but I still wanted to do something nice for her. I was thinking of having a party at my house for her. It would only be about 15-20 people tops. She loves candy/sweets/chocolate so I was thinking of having a dessert party or chocolate party.

Does anyone know about how much something like this would cost? Any ideas for food? More importantly probably, any ideas on entertainment? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks everyone!!

Answers:
Have a chocolate fondue party. Do an online search on how to keep a big bowl of chocolate warm (a fondue pot probably isn't big enough for more than a few people.) and the serve things to dip in the chocolate, and skewers to dip with. Marshmallows, cookies, fruit, pretzels, chunks of pound cake, graham crackers, etc.

make all the food your self..its cheaper.
buy vegie plates and/or cheese plates
do you have itunes or some music on your computer? use that.
chocolate ideas
choco-covered preztels and strawberrys
turtles-choco, carmel and pecans

an dessert party is not only trendy but yummy! have some
plain cheesecake $10-15! have some chocolate and white chocolate fondue $2-3 (melted chocolate) with rice crispy treats, marshmallows, and strawberries! pound cake is always yummy $3! make strawberry shortcakes $2 they have the little cakes and you can purchase some whip creme and cut up some strawberries and add strawberry sauce! keep in mind it's not what you spend it's how you spend it! PRESENTATION is everything! go to wal-mart and k-mart for cute bowls and things! all together this should cost for the things i listed about is under $50 depending on the crowd if that! GOODLUCK

Chocolate fondue, chocolate shavings inside the invitation, have Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory playing in the background or mabye even steal some ideas from it, candy scented candles, they make some awesome cocoes, anyway, I'm sure you could throw a sweet party for around $200.

A chocolate fountain is fun at parties. They sell mini versions at places like Bed, Bath and Beyond for $20. Then have sliced fruit, pretzels and marshmellows for people to dip in the fountain. Make sure to get toothpicks too!
