Answers:
My next door neighbor is a dentist and he hands out coupons for a free dental cleaning. He's one of the most popular houses on the block.

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... no!!!!!!

Yep. Individually wrapped rice crispy treats or granola bars.

I saw an answer which I thought was pretty good on here and the person said Walgreen's has small play dough containers and she was giving them out.

YES TOOTHBRUSHES!!!!! hehehe REALLY though!

a bag of raisens.

I knew someone's mom that gave out little Bibles. Please don't do that.

go to a store and but a bag of party favors or any cheap toys in bulk and put several in a zip lock bag.Or money!

How about Halloween themed pencils...you can get packs a the $1 store...

Mini boxes of yogurt covered raisins. My son thinks they are candy.

I give out candy but I also give out HAlloween stickers, tattoos, spiders, all sorts of Halloween themed goodies.

I give out glow bracelets. Kids love them and they help with safety!

Happy Halloween!

We bought mini playdoh packages from Costco. Super cheap it was like $11 for 80 or something like that.

mini size oreos in halloween colors. they also have little cheap halloween toys that you can do. but dont make anything yourself parents throw them away just to be safe.

I gave out small toothpaste tubes once. Some parents brought theie kids back for more the next year!

little trinkets like finger puppets or cheap costume jewelry

pocket toys! small rubber stamps, stickers, super bouncey ball, etc....

I saw some cute party favors on www.orientaltradingcompany.com... They sell in bulk and have good prices. Like fake tatoos, plastic insects, gummy rings and mini coloring books. My brother's always traded/stole all of the good candy from my pillowcase on Halloween.

yes fake rings

Some neighbors used to give out loose change. My sis and I loved that when we were little.

party favors or small toys

That,or candy apples.I think that candy is more practical.

Depends. . .other things might not be what kids are looking for, or that parents would want you to give out like fruit or something. . . .I would say if you have wrapped rice krispy treats, or small bags of granola that would be okay. . .or some small toys, like litte toys that would normally be in a pinata type things. But really, kids are in it for the candy. . .LOL!

No. Kids want CANDY. :-)

Last year a librarian friend told me of an organization that encourages people to give out books to kids . The kids seemed to love it. I don't think I'm going to get around to that this year but I think it would be fun to give out candy and then have a box of books the kids can dig through.

As a matter of fact I have decided to give nickels this year. That way I am not stuck with a lot of candy if I don't get a lot of kids by the house. We used to have a dentist on the street who gave toothbrushes and a school teacher who gave out pencils. My kids used to like getting stickers too. I have given out certificates to Wendy's, McDonald's, for ice cream cones etc. in the past.

Cheese's and Ruffles Potato chips

Kids love pop corn balls, small sacks of pop corn, cookies, fruit and gum. The problem is, that if the treats are not factory wrapped, many parent's unless they know the person who gave the homemade treat, will not let their child eat it.

Yes small toys, little debbie snack cakes or money

i usually give packaged fruit cups, pudding cups, sugarless gum and candy, crackers and cheese, small cans/containers[packaged] of chili, raviolis, soups, sphaetti.............
