I read it in one of those top secret recipes books, it's really only a few different common spices...I can't remember which but do a search on top secret recipes web page should find it there.
It is a yellow box, something like A&G seasoning....
From many years ago...
Yeah.......I know their secret. Have your bank wire $2,000,000 bucks and I will send it to you.
OBTW. I am just kidding........I will settle for 1 Million.
Mr. K. Sanders was buried with the recipe.
KFC is nasty! Why would anyone want to make fast-food tasting fake chicken when you can fry up some good ol Southern chicken! I love fried chicken!
If you want to add all those spices, fine, but how you prepare the chicken before hand makes all the difference.
Wash very throughly in cold water, then believe it or not let it soak in regular milk for at least 2 hours in the fridge. Remove from fridge and drain of milk. Dab with paper towels so that you may dry chicken then sprinkle with spice mixture then dredge in flour....then return to fridge for at least another hour to allow for a better crust on the chicken.
Give this a try and see how you like it........takes a little prep work but good food is worth it.
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon onion salt
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon basil leaves, crushed
1 teaspoon marjoram leaves, crushed finely
There is another spice I use but a lot of people don't like it, it's called accent MSG.......I have to admit....it enhances the flavors very well....oh yeah add some salt too.... I forgot that.
several studies have shown that there probably are not 11 herbs and spices in the receipe. Just some salt and pepper. the additional flavor comes from the pressure cooking process.

Since 1952, when Colonel Harland Sanders opened his first franchise,
only a select few have been privy to the secret "herb and spices"
contained in the billion-dollar blend. To protect the top-secret
recipe, the company claims, portions of the secret blend are premixed
at two confidential spice cos. and then distributed to KFC's offices,
where they are combined. In 1983, in his book "Big Secrets", author
Wm. Poundstone hired a lab to analyze a dry sample of the spice mix.
The surprising discovery was that instead of identifying "eleven
herbs and spices," the analysis showed only four ingredients: flour,
salt, pepper, and monosodium glutamate, a flavor enhancer.
The cooking procedure is believed to be the other half of the
secret. Colonel Sanders became famous for using a pressure cooker
shortly after its invention in 1939. He discovered that hungry
travelers greatly appreciated the 10 min. pressure-cooking time
(compared to the usual 30 min. it used to take for frying chicken),
and the new process made the chicken juicy and moist inside.
KFC is the 3rd largest fast-food chain in the country, and uses
around 500 million chickens every year.
