i agree with the other writer, i say make it a monster mash type thing invite all your friends make pumpkin stew an some other fun things get a troft full of apples an water lanterns for center pieces, if you feel lucky don't carve them let the people at each table carve them an make it a contest an give out a cool ceramic pumpkin or loot bag for the guest that made the best pumpkin ( make kids judge) an have fun who cares if no one celebrates 5Th wedding anv. as much just keep in mind alot of people might not get you wedding type gifts, an as thank you or favors give Halloween bags filled with candy also make everyone dress up an make it to your theme say its a Disney theme marvel famous celebrity an work that into the entire mix an as i said have fun an do you

Have a costume party and have the party closer to Halloween than your actual anniversary.

Make it a costume potluck party. The easiest way to go is buffet.Have your family bring whatever they want and you provide the rest. You can have a costume contest. You and he can go as a couple that match. The prizes can be gift cards from any where.Don't forget to put on the invites that it is your 5th anniversary...Hope you have a great one.......

These 2 sites offer ideas for Halloween parties and anniversary parties. Look at the ideas for both, and mix them up to adapt them to your celebration.
