It will need to fit in a large basket or cooler. We will be going to a park so i guess i could bring some sterno, otherwise no heat/flames available

Answers:
Go to your local deli or specialty grocery & fix a nice selection of finger foods such as french bread, cheese, smoked meat, veggies, fruit & of course a nice bottle of wine or champagne......Chocolate is a must for dessert!!

How about strawberries dipped in white chocolate for dessert!! YUM!!

A large Italian sub for two, a non-mayo pasta salad, some fruit, a cheese, and a bottle of wine.

(Don't forget the cutting board, cheese knife, bottle opener, and napkins!) :) You're so sweet.

You don't want to spend your time together cooking..

cheese, olives or olive tampanade with some water crackers, of course wine...chicken pesto or chicken caesar wraps with some sweet potato chips (or veggie chips) and of course, chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

if she is busy, I'll meet you there! LOL!

chocolate strawberries she will them!!!!!!!!!

Chicken Salad stuffed into Croissants, w/ optional lettuce/tomato to be added there

Cold Italian Pasta Salad: Penne, Roasted red bellpepper slices, black calamata olives, marinated artichoke hearts, feta cheese, Italian vinaigrette dressing

Batch of brownies or Lemon Bars for dessert

If you want something warm, you could do a big thermos of Cream of Tomato soup, or broccoli-cheese, or something like that. Nothing to chunky that will splash as you pour it out.

Big thermos of sweet iced tea

Cloth Napkins (always nice)
Real Plates (not paper)
Real Silverware, including serving utensils.
wet washcloths in a zipper bag for a fresh clean-up afterwards, and possibly another set for clean-up BEFORE you eat! :-)

Apple Almond Crunch Salad
"This easy-to-assemble salad combines the great crunch of apples and almonds with the sweetness of golden raisins and the unique texture of feta cheese. The tanginess of the raspberry dressing works really well with the crispy ingredients."

INGREDIENTS
1 (10 ounce) package mixed salad greens
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 cup tart apple, cored and chopped
1/4 cup sliced red onion
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 cup raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing
DIRECTIONS
In a large salad bowl, combine the salad greens, almonds, feta cheese, apple, red onion and raisins. Toss to blend. Apply salad dressing to individual servings

two words: portable fondue.

Why not put together a chefs salad.Or you can have the makings in containers for her to choose.Don't forget wine (sparkling cider or apple juice) so you can toast.A nice bread, brownies, fruit, and don't forget the flowers.Even if you only take 1 rose and a little vase with a huge bow...a Flower, don't forget.I wouldn't mind a box of chocolates, but brownies will do for the chocolate.Have fun and a great Valentines Day.....
