Valentines Meal suggestions please????!

Question:

Valentines Meal suggestions please????

I want to cook a 3 course meal for my boyfriend on wednesday. Money is a bit tight, plus i'm at work all day so it needs to be something quick of something that i can maybe prepare the night before.
He does like most things.
Any suggestions for a 3 course meal would be greatly appreciated.

ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!!!

Answers:
Here are some ideas
Appetizer:
salad with a raspberry vinnagret dressing
hummus and pita/veggies
tomato and mozzerella

Main Course:
Pasta with tomato sauce
Steak with Mashed Potatoes and grean beans
Chicken in Madeira wine sauce with vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes
Pork with applesauce

Dessert:
Valentines Ice cream Sundaes
Heart shaped cupcakes with conversation hearts sayings on them (like "be mine")
Chocolate dipped fruit

If moneys tight just go for one course put all your money into a juicy steak, peppercorn sauce and new potatoes, few carrotts and peas,he can have you for dessert.

go for a prawn cocktail salad starter
try home made spag bol for main
and have ice cold lemon sorbet for desert

all th above are cheap enough, dnt take long to make, and can be all home made from scratch so u'l feel like u'v really made th effort, a lot better then sticking something in microwave.

enjoy our meal

ps if u need recipe for spag bol, go to nigell lawson website

If you want quick, easy and cheap how about a salad or soup for starter, pasta (with any combination of sauce) for your main course and ice-cream or some kind of cake as pudding. A bottle of wine, some candles and soft music and you'll be well away. Enjoy!

Prawn Cocktail is really easy starter, garnished with avocado and lettuce.

Spaghetti Bol is very quick and easy, spice it up with chopped chilli's and a splash of red wine.

Have a fruit kebab - forget eating it at the table... take it to bed with whipped cream, chocolate/strawberry sauce and a glass of champagne!

go italian and nice soup for starters with cibatta bread a spag bol or lasange for the 2nd course and a nice italian ice cream for pud, all easy to make yourself and reasonably cheap I can email you some recipes if you want hannahblackman86@yahoo.co.uk

Pate and toast to start. Big, juicy steak with chips and salad for the main, followed by anything chocolatey for pud. That's what my hubby will be getting! Oh, with a little slice of me on the side ha ha

yeah Mackie D's

Erm guys would like anything really - maybe cook his favourite dish =]

For dessert Sainsbury's currently have the new Gu Chocolate fondue on offer at half price- £2.99 instead of £5.99. Would make a fab dessert with marshmallows and strawberries etc.

I would go for two good courses- you don't want to be too full to enjoy the rest of the evening together!! ;)

For desert you can get a chocalate cake with strawberries on top. Cakes dont take that long do they andyou can buy strawberries at a supermarket or you can just order the cake its gonna be delicious

steak peas squash potatoes
