Unique Party Ideas?
My friends and I want to throw a really unique party. We are all adults so we are open to all ideas.
Answers:
Hollywood glam night--favorite disney characters-favorite politician-Supermodel-favorite food- Las Vegas Nights (with card tables and chips)...the list goes on. :)
fancy dress? i dont know many funlly grown responsible adults who go to a party dressed as a frog! lol

A really unique party? With or without attire? Well, how about a good old fashioned scavenger hunt where everyone travels in teams by cars to certain destinations for clues that lead them back to the hostess's house? The "grand prize" might be a gift certificate for a dinner out at a nice restaurant. Too much work?
How about a party with belly dancers and fortune tellers? Or a wine tasting during which you have invited one of your famed local actors to come and do a reading or some well loved book. Or, a "movie" night wherein you set up a giant "sheet screen" in the back yard, chairs, a popcorn machine, fire pit and watch a golden oldy such as the Pink Panther series?
Have you ever hosted a murder mystery? Everyone is supposed to dress in costume, and you can plan your meal and drinks around the theme of the mystery. Any game (not video)store should have them. I went to a 1920's theme party and it was all Mob food, Italian and lots of it. It was a blast. It gives your guests something to do before, during and after dinner.

Re-live your youth! Have a "kiddie-party" . All those things you loved as a kid going to birthday parties. The food can be hot dogs, pizza, cake and ice cream. For drinks - orange or grape soda pop (add a little vodka, if you like!) or rootbeer (I know someone who likes rootbeer and Jack Daniels!)
And then have fun! Pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey adult style (you can choose any person/place/thing you want!). Musical chairs ... a lot more fun after a few drinks and you get to sit on someone's lap! Twister - remember that game?
You could even have kiddie party hats, napkins, paper plates and grab bags for the end of the night. Have name tags with kiddie-versions of grown-up names, or childhood nicknames. And everyone has to come dressed from the year you were all 6, or perhaps even dress like a 6-year old!
How could you not have fun, letting loose and being a kid again!
