go with a fun fantasy party with fairies and dragons use black lights and neon signs to make it more fun. my friends and i love the party i threw. our colors were about the same as yours.

a blacklight would fit that perfectly. the bulb is purple and it's best against a black background. u can find one online. balloons floating up on the ceiling with ribbon hanging down in your colors. chocolate cupcakes with purple dyed food coloring. any supermarket bakery could make them for you if you didn't want to.
It's always fun to have a theme.. like mardi gras, vegas nights, 80's, celebrity party, toga, anything you think sounds fun!

keep it simple, no need to decorate too much everyone will be looking at the birthday boy/girl, maybe light a ton of candles, butif its in the day, hang alot of streemers, and have confetti with a vaccuum ready.
