Do you have any ideas for a police officers retirement party?!

Question:

Do you have any ideas for a police officers retirement party?

We are planning a surprise retirement party and we would like have very creative ideas for the party--decorations--gifts for the guests--invitations?? Any ideas would help a lot.

Answers:
Don't spill that glass of water game

The object of this game is not to let the other person see you turn over a glass of water ontop of a table, then you have your friends try to flip it right side up again.

So here is a suggestion, set up a dozen or so juice glasses filled with water on a table, the one who is able to keep most of the water in the glass is the winner.

Gift ideals? Prank gifts simular to over the hill kind of gifts

Decorations? well you could use little hand cuffs found at party stores and so on....

Send someone around with a few balloons as a form of invitations parked at the people's desks, and so on (?)

Wish you fun at your party.

you ca make it any them you want it to be .It's retirement! Ballons ,streamers .etc

tell him to take a vacation in a jail cell for a month... see how he likes being locked up :)!

You should tell him he has to wear his uniform and then have all the guests dress up in black and white prison suits.

Strippers and donuts.

set it up so the party centers around the retiree being arrested by his buddies, reverse the role for a fun night. put cuffs on him and 'put him in jail'. other then that just typical party stuff

a baseball game would be cool and people thaniking them idk

YES! Since police officers are under such high stress and see the worst of humanity, the party should be the opposite of that.

I suggest a pool party, massage by the hot tub . This should be in a posh setting with very high class standards in food and catering. Each guest especially honorary retiring police officers, should receive a commemorative token that they will keep always.
Something meaningful to the people themselves, a personal touch, a thanks for all their service. I hope this helps!

Tradition for Pilice and Fire/EMS retirement: MUST HAVE BAGPIPES.

the simpler yhe better... just make sure that everyone is there

When you send invitations, ask people to write down their favorite
memory of the retiree. We did that for a former officer friend and it was great fun. Also if you can use any old photos of the officer from his department for decorations. Some party supply stores carry little confetti things in the shape of handcuffs, nightsticks, etc. if you have one by you or can find one on the web. Have fun!

uuummmmmmmmmm...im not very creative

Instead of a cake make a big pile of DONUTS. That way the police will think they are still working. Stack the donuts like a pyramid.
