hey i just had mines... the hit foods were things on sticks and easy to pick up.... strawberries and chocolate, chicken on a stick with dipping sauces, soda, smoothies, mixed "virgin" drinks, mostly things that you will thik of when you think of elegance and formal... cookies are also a winning choice

for drinks go for shirly temples and the regular sodas such as coke sprite and diet.for food chicken marcilla, eggplant parmasian, baked zity and whatever else u can think of im sure it will be great

GOOD LUCK ?

I think the birthday girl/boy should have their absolute favorite foods at their 16th birthday party....so ask them what their favorite foods are....and serve that...

surely chi chi's ..anything with whipped skim cream..as for toasting buy carbonated spritzers with no alcohol , shake and play land the corkscrew,,, a blown up pic of ur sibling might work well outside ...prizes for right between the eyes
The best food is served without onions or garlic spice
HHHHAAHHHHHHH ,,,excel lent

How about mock cocktails such as Mock Cosmo's, Virgin Daiquiri's, Virgin Margaritas and Virgin Mojitos?

punch is always a good choice for drinks...serve it in beautiful glass bowl with matching cups:
1 lg. can pineapple juice
1 lg. can orange juice
3 sm. cans lemon concentrate
1 sm. bottle almond flavoring
1 sm. bottle vanilla flavoring
2 lbs. sugar
1 gallon of sprite or 7-up
1 container pineapple sherbert

**mix all ingredients (except for the sherbert) 2-3 days before servings. add sherbert in scoops just before serving.

mock tails in the right glasses is best, re: mock margerita in a margerita glassm along with punch, also adding a little lace or ribbion on the stem of the glass addes a nice flair

i sourced a site below i use when entertaining, its really fun, and gives lots of great ideas for party drinks etc, for non alcohol and alcohol drinks, they have amazing mock tail receipe, and if you are not sure what to make with what you have on hand just type in your ingrediants and walla a receipe idea will be presented

good luck and a very happy sweet 16 to your loved one and best wishes for a succefull party

When I turned 16, I had a party and asked for my favorite foods from when I was a little kid - kind of a "goodbye to the old" theme. We had make-your-own tacos for dinner, and chocolate fudge cupcakes with cherry vanilla ice cream for desert. We all laughted and were silly giggly little girls one last time. Or so I thought - It turns out I'm still giggly, and I still like to have tacos and cherry ice cream.
I'd recommend something like that - it can remind a young lady that it's OK to still be a kid.
