Disney princess themed bday party. I need help!!!?!
My daughter is turning 3 on June 27, and her party will be held on the 28th!. My husband and I are going with the Disney Princess theme since that's what she wants!. I bought a few things like invites, games, goody bags!. Being that our budget is only $200, I wanted to go with colors, and not a full on Disney everything!. The games and goody bags and invites are actually Disney Princess, but I wanted to go with the theme's colors plates and napkins cause it's cheaper!. As for the menu for adults were having chicken and veggie shish kaboks, hot dogs for kids, macaroni salad, fruit salad, rice salad, rolls!. I just wanted to know if this sounds good so far, or If I left anything out!. What about the colors!? Does pink, yellow and light blue sound good!? also, what are some other little but important things that I could do!? We were going to do a pink and brown cupcake themed party, but we had a hard time finding everything we needed for a 3 yr old's party!. This will be a unisex party !. ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

The color scheme sounds perfect since the main 3 Disney princesses are tied to these colors!. As far as everything else, food, cake, etc!. you sound like you're on the right track!. Activities can include a treasure hunt- Like find Snow White's apples (real apples are good idea) or they can be plastic ones you find at a local party store for decoration!. Or find Cinderella's slipper!. Pin the Crown on the Princess using a blown up picture of your daughter's favorite princess and crowns made of construction paper!. Side note: Tape the Crown may better alternative since this party is for preschoolers!. That can be varied to pin the slipper on Cinderella!. Another idea for a craft is to have children decorate their own magic wands with glitter, stickers and ribbon and maybe swords for the boys!? It is also good to have some coloring activities for the children to do if they have finished their craft before the others children!. Printed coloring pages of castles, princesses, etc that are found on-line or copied from a coloring book work well!. Hope this helps and remember to have fun! My birthday is the 27th also!Www@FoodAQ@Com
kids like junk food they don't want too many salads match the colors with the Disney princesses dresses get different stuff to put in the boy gift bags everything else needs to be Disney its not a boy party it is your daughters partyWww@FoodAQ@Com
Make a Barbie doll cake!. They're really cute!. Little girls LOVE them! They don't serve a whole lot of people but if you also make cute cupcakes to go along with it everyone can get a piece of cake!. At least that's what we've always done!.
I never really use a recipe but I found this online

I would recommend that you make sure that there are several options for a couple of three year olds to do!. Make sure there are games, and also make sure there are options for the kids who are less than cooperative!. I had a Cinderella party when I turned 4 (I'm 22 now), and I have seen the video tapes of the games we played!. My parents did a game where you carried an egg in a spoon and had to walk a line back and forth!. They had a water balloon toss, they had a pony come so that we could ride on him, etc!. We all seemed to really love it, but you could see the few straglers who wanted nothing to do with organized activity, so keep that in mind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
helium filled balloons!. just go with the plain latex!. make sure that you have enough for each child to have a balloon!. I'd go with pink, light blue, white, yellow!. or go with all pink and blue!. this would alleviate arguing over a particular color!.
did you buy crowns for the boys and tiaras for the girls to wear!. kids always seem to like party hats!. did you get the blow outs!? i wouldn't get the princess themed ones, the plain colored ones work just as well!. how about bubbles!? this might not work as well if the party will be held inside!.
do you have a backyard!? you could rent an inflatable jumper from a party supply store!. they're generally pretty reasonable and the company will come and set it up and tear it down!. this would keep the kids busy!.
I wouldn't worry a lot about games, it's going to be really hard to get a group of 3 years olds to concentrate on one thing too long!. They'll just have fun playing with each other and looking at the presents!.
you could play pass the magic wand (musical chairs, but safer)!. have the kids sit in a circle, disney music playing and have them pass the wand around!. the object is to not be holding the wand when the music stops!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

as for a disney princess theme i would think including purple--purple is such a royal color!. for my sons bday party i took a pic of his favorite wrestlers and had them put on his cake--the picture was edible!. you didn't mention tiara's!. don't forget them! play some disney songs in the background as guest are entering and when bday girl is opening gifts!. you can also think about playing disney movies in the background!. Decorate the paper tablecloth with the Disney princess stickers!. This will add to the theme of the party and make your tablecloth cost between $2 and $4 instead of $10 or more!. Serve princess ice cream!. Regular ice cream becomes princess party ice cream when it is topped with pink sugar sprinkles that match the princess cake!. Make magic wands!. As the guests arrive, give each one a wooden skewer with a poster board star glued over the sharp end!. Send them over to a table with ribbons, glitter and markers to decorate their own magic wand!.
