How do I make brown cream cheese mints?!

Question:

How do I make brown cream cheese mints?

I am hosting a bridal shower and the colors are deep red and different shades of brown. I am making cream cheese mints in a calla lilly mold, and I need to know how to get these colors.

Answers:
You can use cocoa, in place of food coloring, or I myself would use Wilton icing coloring in brown for a richer shade. Adjust the hues of brown by the amount of coloring you add. thttp://www.wilton.com/store/site/product... You can find this at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or most Walmarts. Wilton also has a recipe for these treats. http://www.wilton.com/recipes/recipesand...
Hope this helps you out! Have fun.

does not sound very appetizing

brown would have to be from chocolate . that does sound good though

This is how I made it and when you wont to add color to it just add the color of foodcoloring you want in it and then it will be any color you want it to be.

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 to 1 tsp. desired flavoring
Food coloring
2 (1 lb.) boxes powdered sugar, sifted
Granulated sugar
TIPS: Yellow for lemon; pink for peppermint; green for mint

In mixer bowl beat cream cheese until soft. Add desired flavoring and coloring. Gradually add powdered sugar mixing until dough is very thick and heavy, but not dry. Roll in small balls. If you wish, dip in granulated sugar. Makes 130 mints. Keeps in refrigerator 3-4 weeks. Freezer several months. This is how I made it and when you wont to add color to it just add the color of foodcoloring you want in it and then it will be any color you want it to be.

How thoughtful! You might see if there is a bakery supply shop in your area or go on line to order them. You're looking probably at a sugar paste or coloring to add to your mixture.

They make brown food coloring ...so just add that to your recipe.

Wilton has a great line of food coloring paste that is deeper in color then stuff that comes in eye dropper things. As for the brown chocolate is a great idea. If not green and red make a great brown. As for a deep red you might have to add anther color other red to shade that you want. Good luck

well i would get choclate melt it in the micorwave then get cream cheese and mix them togather then pour it over a mint
