Italian is like greece, or at least ancient italian is like modern greece! And pasta is my favorite! I'm full italian. Born there moved here at age 2. I go back every summer!

itilian food, some italian music, and get pictures and decorations of landmarks in italy. just set the mood, and put on your invitations that its an itilian themed party.

Ensalada Caprece! SO good! Just ball or slice some fresh mozarella, sliced roma tomatoes, and fresh basil. Pour over with olive oil, salt and pepper and serve. It it easy and delicious.

EVERYBODY DRESS AS AN ITALIAN MOBSTER.

Read up on the Carnival of Venice. Its a very famous masked costume ball, which I think would be perfect for your sweet sixteen! I have attached a web site with pictures from the actual festival. Usually at these events there are lots of street performers...musicians, jugglers, stilt walkers....It can get very extravagant. Some Gondolas and black and white stripped poles...lots of grapes, maybe a champagne fountain full of grape juice punch! Dont for get the Italian food!

Spaghetti, pasta, lasagna as food...
Eros Ramazotti, Adreano Chelentano as music background...
Some pictures on the wall: Romа, Venice, some gondolas :)

Italian food should be served, with Italian music in the backgroud. Do as much decorating as you can to get that Italian feel, and then maybe have pictures of famous italian people, or italian fashions that you could hang up on the wall.

I just had one and it turned out great!!! Ask your guests on their invitations to bring an Italian dish to share. It's really interesting to see how people use their imagination. Everything was Italian from the appetizers to the deserts. Don't forget the Italian wine.

have it at a hotel, if its not too expensive

get some roman pillars for the hallway and lots of flowers. serve pasta, bowls of fruit for decoration or eating especially grapes, you could even have everyone wear togas... that would be fun
