Baseball tailgate party: how much to charge people if I'm organizing it?!

Question:

Baseball tailgate party: how much to charge people if I'm organizing it?

Tickets cost 12/each. I'll buy beer, chips, and light snacks like that.

Answers:
You just get them to reimburse you for the game tickets.

$10

Well based on how much food and beer you have to buy, charge enough to make most of your money back. If it's too expensive, people probably won't bother, but if it's a good location, etc you could charge like $20 and it would be fine.

Why not have a potluck instead of charging your friends? Figure out how much each person will drink, how much each portion of food they will eat and go to Costco to see if you can get a good deal. Then figure out how many people you'll need to make it worth your while. I'm thinking that the more down to earth you stay, the cheaper it needs to be for your buds, like around $5 - $7.50 each. If you're into higher class fare, then the price goes up!

I Like Jeannettes answer. I would have everyone bring something. from Salads to burgers. Good luck and have fun.
