How about your own diningroom...or bedroom...with his favorite food, drink and anything else that he would enjoy? That way you are home so you don't need a designated driver, you can *do* what ever the mood dictates..etc. We have had some awesome surprise birthdays without ever leaving the house! Enjoy!!

I can suggest what my frn had done for her husband, she took him for a day out on the race track, which includes a training session in a Lotus elise, then he got to drive a ferrari enzo.
I kow this not something both you guys can enjoy, but this could be a second gift
