First of all, make sure you have food!. You can probably grill hotdogs and hamburgers and get a few pasta salads together and be done!. As for activities, think of any other picnic!. You can make teams and have three-legged races, potato sack races, etc!. A couple of fun activities we have done in the past is tying a string to one end of a pole and dangling donuts from them and then letting the kids see who can eat their donut the fastest with no hands!. You can have mini-pie eating contests, or if it is night time, tell each kid to bring a flashlight and have a hunt with clues!. You can tie holographic stickers all over the yard and with the light, the kids find clues that lead them to the prize!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're really looking to have a party that doesn't cost much, do easy activities with things you already own!. For example:

Treasure hunt musical chairs-
People playing try to find items from people sitting and eating and then have to rush back to their seats!. You say something like!.!.!.go get me a high heeled shoe that isn't black-or something like that!.

Dance competitions where cheap DVDs are given out as prizes

Have people bring swimsuits and have water wars!.

It's all good for in your backyard!.

also, be sure to have lots and lots of food!Www@FoodAQ@Com

many local beaches have grill/cooking areas that are covered!.they are generally free!. have a cookout at the beach!.plenty of water activities!. marco polo, frisbee, fill plastic spray bottles with food coloring and water to decorate sand castles in a sand castle contest!. make sure to bring a radio/cd playerWww@FoodAQ@Com
