3 Course Meal for Boyfriends Birthday?!

Question:

3 Course Meal for Boyfriends Birthday?

My friend has just text me saying its her blokes birthday tomorrow and she wants to cook him a 3 course meal.

All I could come up with was soup and crusty bread, Roast chicken and all the trimmings, followed by Strawberries and cream. Pretty basic really.

But that sounds a bit boring, what would you suggest? Bearing in mind that her culinary skills are not that amazing.

Answers:
Starter of deli bought big ravioli 2 or 3 pieces per person served hot with a drizzle of truffle oil

main course of pan fried sea bass fillets served on a bed of spinach shop bought potato daupinoise

dessert fresh strawberries served with fresh cream with crumbled amerreto biscuits on top

All really easy to make but looks super impressive

me!

I think what you suggested sounds quite nice... although I'm not a fan of gourmet cooking so it probably would. A simple (boring?) meal like that lol, it's better than some fancy thing you would get in a restaurant and the effort is what is important

All sounds nice. How about adding coffee with baileys irish cream. Whip some irish cream into cream and spoon it over the coffee then grate chocolate over the top to finish.

If you can find it franjelico goes well with baileys in coffee (but not in the cream - just use baileys in that).

l think he want mind if she serves him a cooked snake as long as she serves it with a smile, wearing high heels and apron only.

prawn and Mellon starter then main course of steak, mushrooms and onions served with mini roast potatoes and peas, and then followed with apple pie and ice cream..........she could prepare the starter and put in fridge ready for the meal, then before the meal starts put roasties in oven and then when they start first course she could put steak and onions on a low heat so its ready to serve not long after starter and then the puds easy. timed to perfection and saves a load of hassle of doing a huge chicken roast and all the trimmings ( and all them pans )

Tell her to do the most basic off all, a shrimp cocktail to start, a great roast beef, with garlic mashed potatoes, and green beans almondine, the best Au jus recipe you know he loves(call his mom), and maybe some warm mini croissants. Serve homemade warm brownies for dessert with a cappuccino gelato(or a cheesecake w/his fave topping). If it's just he and her tell her to do the whole thing wearing lingerie, with a nice candle lit dinner for two, otherwise wear something super sexy underneath whatever she is wearing.... good Fun!

how about spagetti, chicken mayo salad and maybe a cocktail drink invented by her, specially for her bf. Think her bf will really love her lots. Good luck to her.

A beer to start with...a rib eye steak.... then her for dessert.... Yum

Breaded mushrooms with garlic dip to start

Steak with stilton sauce, chunky chips and peas

Chocolate cheesecake and cream

tell her to have sex with him instead and then go down to the pub and eat

Anything she makes him will be great. Because it is the effort that counts, not what is made. Rachel Ray at foodnetwork has great meals for date nights, if you or her want to browse through that.
