June is a good month for outdoor parites. You can check with the parks and rec depts. in your area and see if you can rent a park site that has bbq pits, some places even have swimming pools or tennis courts. That would take care of the space and cut down on price. It also makes it easier for the food. If you are really on a budget, the dollar store is a good place to go for decorations, if not party stores usually have everything you need to decorate. And since its at a park you can rent a jumper if there will be kids there too. If not, usually they have playgrounds too. Good luck. I'm sure your mom will enjoy it.
ask freinds and family to help pitch in on the food, have them make something special, food or centerpeices. almost evryone likes to be a part of planning a party! esspecially close freinds, siblings!
just don't be afraid to ask for a little help w/food, anything! it's always more fun and a lot less stressful, to include a FEW people!
pick people you get along with!!!
Most city and county parks have shelters that rent cheaply--we had our wedding last June at one, which was $50 for the whole day.
Make your own food as much as possible--recruit your family & friends to help you. Keep it simple--it's cheaper if it's informal--sloppy joes, potato salad or chips, beans, and a cake...and maybe something like chex mix to munch on.
Talk to a Pepsi or Coke distributor. Most rent oiut fountain drink carts at a reasonable price.
Go to orientaltrading.com for decorations, balloons, tablecovers, etc, and also great party favors.
Set up a main table with a plain white linen tablecloth, put a jar of colored sharpie markers on it, and let it be the guest book. We did that, and now each time we use the tablecloth, it brings back great memories.
Bless you for being so thoughtful---I hope it all turns out wonderful!
if you want it cheap, makeyour own food. or have a potlock.
im sure ur moms friends would like to contribute.
you can have it at your backyard or someone you know who has a poolside or something.
good luck
