Prom help!?!

Question:

Prom help!?

Im in charge of refreshments, but I dont know what to bring! I know I'll bring cookies and punch, but I want something different for prom. Suggestions welcomed! Thank you!

Answers:
Why not ask some of the moms or other kids to bring a variety of appetizers? Maybe even have a contest for the best appetizer, best sweet, etc.

The Book of Diana

Old standby that most people like: 1 pint lime OR raspberry sherbert, two liter of sprite, optional 1 cup pineapple juice.

Rold Gold Honey Wheat Pretzles are really yummy, easy to eat and cheap to buy at Sam's Club. Every teen likes red licorace and you could do it up in vases or some school design.

BROWNIES

Chocolate fountain. You can buy them for about $19.00 at Wal-Mart now. Big can of Hershey's chocolate syrup and then all you have to have are big marshmallows, pretzels and maybe some cut up fruit. Trust me -would be special and taste great!

take Fanta Orange and brownies.
Or cookies and Punch.
Or rice crispe treats and Juice

Proms are usually sophisticated affairs. Punch and cookies are ok, if that's what your planning committee decided on, but I'm wondering if you have any room mothers that could pitch in to bring appetizers as well. In any case, how about spicing the punch up so that it looks more like a cocktail and less like koolaid? You can take frozen margarita mix (non-alcoholic), frozen lemonade, frozen pineapple juice, and sparkling water to create a drink that is not too sweet and will be a nice change. Another thing to add to the punch bowl is a nice Ice Ring. Take your favorite bundt pan or circular mold and pour flavored spring water into the bottom ( I use lemon) Put in freezer for about 1 hour. Remove and add lemon leaves, thin lemon slices and marachino cherrys. Add more sparkling water and freeze. Remove and fill the rest of the mold to within 2 inches of the top. To unmold, dip in warm water for a few seconds and then turn it out and put in your punch bowl. The flavored water helps keep the punch from getting diluted.
