Christening coming up, any different ideas for party after?!

Question:

Christening coming up, any different ideas for party after?

Answers:
Most people prefer a buffet style meal opposed to a sit down. This is also easier if you will be doing the party yourself. Make sure there is a good supply of drinks for quests alcoholic and non. Juice boxes are great for the younger ones. Also games and activities for the younger ones. If the weather is nice go for a BBQ every one loves a good BBQ.

Depending on how the weather is where you are, you could do a salad buffet (with all types different cold salads- pasta, chicken, tuna, 7 layer, crab, etc) and some nice beverages. Non alcoholic mojiotos, bellini's, etc. If you live in a colder climate, do a baked potato bar. Serve all diff type toppings-cheese, chili, steak strips, etc. Serve warm cider and hot chocolate.

I just had brunch at our house after the baptism of my daughter. we had lox and mini bagels w/ cream cheeses tomato, cucumber, onion and olives, chicken salad, whitefish salad, florentine ring (from pampered chef cookbook) Orzo pasta salad, fresh fruit, i had little cereals for the kids, coffee and tea. It was elegant and everyone loved it. Most things were made the night before and stored in the fridge

Champagne Brunch- very tastefull, less costly and easy to prepare! Happy christening!

I shall assume that this is not a Jewish affair? Ok, since the guest of honor is still in diapers, your fare should be for parents and older kids. Depending on how you feel about alcohol being served for brunch, you might want to make mimosa punch or have champagne, white and red wines as well as soft drinks, water and coffee/tea available. Brunch is advised and might consist of mini pastries, croissants, platters of smoked salmon (lox), bowls of cream cheese, capers, sliced onions. Meat platters with sliced cheese might also be a good idea. Then there are the traditional favorites such as eggs benedict, scrambled eggs with cheese, country style potatoes, blintzes and such. Check your budget and guest list.

you could print your own candy lable, tea bag, ect, even as the invitation, very different..
