Is it necessary to store food in the fridge for more than three weeks?!

Question:

Is it necessary to store food in the fridge for more than three weeks?

Answers:
Not for three weeks otherwise you will have to throw out about half of it. You should get atleast a week's worth of groceries or whatever the essential foods you need for 7 days.

hmm, i am going to go with "no, it is not necessary"

Oh, no! Throw it out. You probably could tell by the mold on top.

what are you storing? meat no way!!!! cheese ok, eggs use by the use by date. as a rule of thumb go by the use by date. if it is old throw it. if you cooked it and it has meat in it it should be used with in 3 to 4 days at the latest unless put in the freezer.

no minimum for 1 day

A must for Salmon-ella

It depends on what you're storing. Usually cooked food is only for a day or two.

As a person who works as a cook and graduated from a culinary school, i would have to say that not only it's not necessary, but it's also unsanitary to do that. Any food that's still in the fridge for more than about 3-5 days should be thrown out( at least, according to all the chefs that I currently work for and the chefs at my school).

I think at that point your just growing some medicine, heck maybe with the right mixture, you might cure some disease in there... or create one.
