I would give your friends some choices, no one wants to be told who they have to dress as!. Let them pick and tell them that they have to let you know because you don't want duplicates, so if their dress up is taken, they have to choose someone else, but don't tell them who to be, that's like ordering them around and being bossy and it's going to make them less likely to want to dress up and get in the fun spirit of doing it, and what you picked IS a fun party theme, and you want them to have fun WITH you, if you're telling them what to do, it's not going to be fun for them!. I'm NOT trying to sound mean to you, I'm trying to help you!. I'm sure you're dressing as you wish and they're going to want to too, that's what's going to make it fun for them to dress up! Ask them who they want to be, and if someone else already chose it, tell them that and to pick someone else!.
also remember, if you're telling them who to dress as, they can't be dressing as their favorite celebrities, you mentioned you want them to dress as their favorites, they can't do that if you tell them who they have to dress as!. Make this just as fun for them as it is you and let them choose and just have them pick alternatives if the one they chose is already taken!.
You can also set up a white sheet and have it as a backdrop!. Ask your friends or go out and get some props like boas, sunglasses, hats, or being they're already dressing up, they may already have the props with them, you can have them pose with each other and the props, and take pictures!. You and your friends will have a lot of fun posing with each other and the props and taking pictures with each other and the props, and think of the great pictures you'll have!
For food, you should have your favorites!. Don't have food that you may or may not like just because it follows the theme, have what YOU like and what your favorites are!. Chances are, it's your friends' favorites too!
Being that everyone is dressing as celebrities, you can show some movies with those actors/actresses in them!.
You can also do trivia and name movies and everyone has to guess who was in what movies!.
You can also say lines and everyone has to guess who said what line!. Just make sure the lines are only from the celebrities that are represented at your party!.
For both games, whoever gets the most right, wins!

you should get a red piece of felt and make it a red carpet, and give out mini oscars for best dressed and things like that!. you should do coctails and things like that!. i think they should come as who they want to be but ask them before who they are going to be!. xWww@FoodAQ@Com
