Where can I rent tables and a buffet?!

Question:

Where can I rent tables and a buffet?

Hi. My Dad's birthday is in August, and I need to know where to look to rent tables, and I would like to rent one of those buffets that keep the food warm so people can come by and serve themselves.

Answers:
Look up party rentals in your yellow pages (or online). If you have the party at a place like VFW or a church hall, they'll probably let you use the tables for free.

look someone up in the phone book in your area. Local companies can be found in the book.

Does your dad have saw horses? Put 2 of them up and lay a piece of plywood across the top. You can cut it down to the width you want, and if you place it against something like a wall, it's not going anywhere. As far as you buffet servers go, You can buy the frames, disposable trays and the fuel at a store like Party City. When the party is over, put the saw horses away, use the plywood for something else, throw away the used trays and your Dad can use the frames, extra trays and the extra fuel for a party he might want to have in the future. Don't quote me on this, but in the long run it might cost less money...in the long run. P.S. decorate the table with a tablecloth and a table skirt.

There are restaurant's that allow you to reserve part of the place for a couple of hours or you should able to reserve just a table by calling atleast a couple of days in advance.

The best website for this type of thing is www.eventective.com which has listings by state, town, county, etc. of event halls, caterers, djs, limo services, and more.

I'm not sure where you live but I'm sure if you check out this site you'll find a rental company.

As for the buffet, you are looking for "Chafing Dishes" - mention those and caterers will know exactly what you need.

Good luck!
