What kind of food should I have for a morning interview?!

Question:

What kind of food should I have for a morning interview?

I have to serve about 20 people on a VERY tight budget and it will happen at about 8:30 in the morning. Any ideas?

Answers:
buy muffins at dominicks or something...or sams club...not too pricey

Some doughnuts (the ones in large "value" packages) from your local grocery store. Coffee would go great with them too, if you can.

bagles....with some cream cheese, the cream cheese will get pricey, but the bagles won't.

Bagels, yogurt, and juice. Also, provide various jams and cream cheeses for the bagels.

doughnuts, bagels, and OJ and coffee

Sam's sell a very reasonably priced assorted 12-muffin package. That, along with some bananas should suffice.

waffles ,there are pacs of sausuage already done just heat and serve,oj,coffee,doughnuts,scra... eggs with chopped ham and cheese, bisquits and gravy

muffin onrange juice

set out a couple big vats of oat meal .

Are you the interviewee? or the Interviewer? I'd suggest that you go to a grocery outlet like Cosco or Sam's or Ralphs etc. and purchase mini bagels, mini muffins and mini croissants. Purchase some large containers of cream cheese and jam (you can put them in smaller, more decorative containers later). Make a fresh fruit platter (strawberries, pineapple, melon, grapes) and a yogurt dip (or try plain yogurt and brown sugar to dip in). Add coffee and tea and you should be set!

You want to stay away from food items that require utensils, so I would go with very basic pastries like muffins and danishes, fruiits, and possibly, if in the budget and time range, Frittatas, which are the Italian version of an Omelette that can be cooked throughly and served on bread to make a quick sandwich.

Here's a menu you might consider:
Bowl of Fresh fruit
Bowl of ice with individual yogurts - low or non-fat
Tray of Fruit quick breads (oatmeal, banana, pumpkin) - cut into small pieces
cream cheese, peanut butter, jam or jelly for the breads
Selection of Granola bars -
Pitchers of juice and ice water
Coffee (offer decaf)

what about hot milk with little piece of cake?

Mini pastries and muffins w/coffee & tea. Simple, inexpensive and not messy. Check out a place like BJ's, Sam's Club or Super WalMart for the muffins and pastries. They will be much cheaper than the market.

Jeanette P has my answer! good job and Good Luck!

Try wheat muffins since they are healthier than donuts.

Fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice, bagels, cream cheese, muffins, cookies, milk, coffee cakes

crossiants- savoury and sweet, muffins savoury and sweet.

Try recipes.com you can get about anything there.

You should have a finger food, donuts or muffins.

If you can bake and are on a tight budget *Jiffy* has muffins for about 50 cents a box, banana nut, blueberry and cranberry and maybe I have seen another. Easy to make and bake.. very inexpensive then have Orange Juice and coffee available.

Good Luck

Make It simple, but good. Gravy & biskits, doughnuts or anything you can get cheap for breakfest I think would work.
