Answers:
A bunch of helium filled balloons with streamers. Each streamer hangs down from the ceiling and has a fortune cookie attached with your fortune inside. Also, each streamer has old compact discs (CDs) you've collected and tied to them which reflect colored lighting from around the dance hall.

Try looking at party shops in your area to get Ideas or look on the web for some things and then write down what things you NEED and then the things that you would like to have along with the price and then add it all up to see how much money you need. Hope this helps.

Well not to rag on your idea but you should scrap the 50's night and do a 40's night instead! The 5's have been done like a million times and the 40's were a lot more exciting!! You could go for a Veronica Lake look with some pearl earrings and a pick a boo hair do. Plus for the greatest thing off all is that your local Army history correspondence centre will donate costumes and props from the good old days so it will be cheap, fantastic and i hope you have a great night whatever you decide.

You can have a sock-hop! Everyone dresses in their 50's attire and 'specialty' socks and rock the night away!

yeah use used motor oil to gresse everyones hair and skin

i would sugest that if you have some one whose good at drawing they could draw things or you could get large sheets of black paper and cut out siloets of people dancing . for the podeum you could get some tinsle and plastic jewlery and find a way to put it on the podeum for the rest of the stage you could make an out line of the city skylne hope i got some good ideas for you! good luck!! = )

Make huge paper records out of black butcher block paper or music notes in pink.

They might have something on eBay.
