Is this a good idea for a birthday party?!
Alphabet Shopping Hunt
For this hunt each team is allowed to spend $10 total or whatever amount you agree upon beforehand!. It is best to keep the amount minimal, since that increases the difficulty of the hunt!.
The teams must search the mall for items beginning with each letter of the alphabet (26 total) and buy them!. They must also bring back a receipt for every item purchased!. This is definitely an exercise in creativity!.
Set a time limit!. The winning team is the team who comes back with the most items (only one item per letter)!. If there is a tie, the winner is the team who spent the least amount of money!.
Note: You should set a penalty for any team coming back late!. Do this before the hunt starts!.
How much can you buy for $10 these days!? You might surprise yourself
but i might do it with 15 or 20 dollars

Omg!! Thats an awesome idea!!! I can see u really planned this out and let me tell u you planned it well!!! Yea, and after u do all of the activities at ur house then its on 2 the scavanger hunt!!! Happy Birthday!! and Have Fun!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
This seems like a great idea for a party, Depending how big your mall is this might get out of control fast (loosing kids, running around etc)!. I would say if you have a super walmart or target in your area that might be good!. And people will be able to find a lot more for a lot less so $10 will go along way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
"I'm having A birthday and your invited!!!!! It'll be lots of fun! But since your thirteen and don't have a job tell your mom to buy a gift for me and that you'll also need st least $520!.00 cash in order to come! " Sounds great!. Good luck with that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The party sounds like great fun!. I was wondering what you will do with all the useless things they buy!? It seems like a waste of money for things no one will want after the party!.
I held a similar hunt at a local mall with my Girl Scout Troop (all were in their early teens)!. Instead of purchasing items, they took a digital picture of the item (at least one on each team had a cell phone which took pictures or a camera)!. After they took the digital picture, they had to have someone at the store intial on an alphabet checkoff sheet I provided what the price was for the item!. The goal was to spend the least, but since no money was actually spent, there was no price limit and no useless items to deal with when it was over!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
