Is It WRONG???!
Is it wrong to ask people to bring alcohol to a party!? (Everyone is of age)
I would like to ask people to bring alcoholic beverages / wine to a party on an invitation!.!. how would I do so politely!?
Something along the lines of
" Bring your favorite wine"
" What's your favorite drink!? bring it!"
I do not want to use BYOB ( bring your own beer)
Does anyone have any great ideas to word this!?!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually, BYOB usually means bring your own bottle!. If it's a casual thing, I would just say something like," Bring whatever you'd like to drink, I'll have some mixers here!." Plus it's your birthday---I wouldn't hesitate to say something like, "My birthday present to myself is not having to buy alcohol so bring your own!"Www@FoodAQ@Com
most parties i have been to call it a bring a bottle party that seems to work it all end up on one table and people either stick to their own or just drink whatever is there just buy a couple of bottles of wine to get started, but the way to word it is "bring a bottle"Www@FoodAQ@Com
oh!. haha!. i was gonna say byob!.!.!.
but yes, i think the 1st line "bring your favorite wine" is good!. if you're bringing wine, then it seems a little classier, which i'm not felling for the 2nd one!.
so 1st line!. short, sweet, to the point, and polite!. =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you have the right ideas up there!.
because it does get really expensive having to provide alcohol for everyone!. Plus you dont know what everyone prefers!.
So just a polite reminder to bring something they can enjoy!.
Hope this helps!!

No, I'm cheap so I naturally would tell everyone to bring their own alcohol and at some parties which are hosted by one of the neighbors, everyone even brings food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you are throwing the party, the bill is your responsibility!. Most people with any good etiquette though will bring a bottle of something or they should at least ask what they can bring!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well what is the point of a party if the invites have to pay for it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
IMO, if it's not a formal party, your idea and either of the suggested wordings are just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
