Any ideas for daughter's sweet sixteen birthday?!
Any ideas for daughter's sweet sixteen birthday?
I have a daughter whose birthday is around Thanksgiving; she wants to have a Sweet Sixteen Birthday, but I feel with what she wants, folks will be too tired to come to a party with food making more food problems for me with leftovers from Thanksgiving; I suggested she do it the weekend before; I also suggested we go to a hotel with her best girlfriends, have a girls night out, then go to the spa in the morning; she vetoed that idea. so, any suggestions.

Have a 'garbage bag' party. Each person who comes brings along a garbage bag filled with clothing. When all are present they choose a bag and dress up in whatever is in the bag. LOADS OF LAUGHTER!!!!
For eats, since you had the nice Thanksgiving recently, just order pizza. It is always a winner with young and old.
Good luck and enjoy.
Have her choose 2 of her closest friends and go all out on them....Get a limo and have them go to the nearest city to go shopping....make them a fancy dinner.....get a proffesionally made cake......and make sure she has fun!!!!
Ask her what she wants to do...she has plenty of time to think about it...Sweet sixteen tho, it should be special! Go to another (big) city...shop, eat, tour places....have fun!
I suggest that you can have a potluck because it is affordable and you get a variety of foods. For a snack try making large dishes that can be shared such as a platter of nachos. If you want it to be fun spend more of your money on the DJ and entertainment because that will be the things they will notice the most. To cut back on spending make the potluck buffet style so you won't need hired help.
Tell her to look at these sites to see the ideas they offer. She may find something she likes.
