17th Birthday Party Ideas?!

Question:

17th Birthday Party Ideas?

I didn't get to do anything for my 16th, and I kinda want to do something for my 17th. It's in May, and it's the day after I graduate Highschool so I don't know if I'll even get to do anything for it. But I need some ideas. Nothing too silly and teenager-ish. I hate that stuff. But something fun! Ideas please? Pretty please?

The day after graduation people are going to be exhausted, so if you can try to have it a different day- try. If not, do something relaxing and pampering.

Gather 5-10 of your closest friends for a ladies brunch and manicures or massages. You can cook the brunch yourself and hire a massuese or manicurist by the hour. Have everyone bring a white fluffy robe and flip flops. Decorate with big pillows, lounging chairs, blankets, and yummy candles.

For the brunch, have sparkling cider and virgin mimosas. Serve fresh fruit, quiche, french toast, whatever you like. Take some nice photos and have a great time!

How about a Luau? I had one for my daughter for one of her birthdays - may have even been #17, and it was really fun! We made blended (non-alcoholic) drinks like margaritas, hurricanes, etc.

something special that we did for her 16th was to go to San Francisco for the weekend. She, her best friend and I went down and saw a show (Movin' Out), stayed at a fun, inexpensive hotel, and shopped and did sight seeing. That was really fun!

you could have a cake, you could have frieds and family come over to your house.

my sister di a beach theme... complete with coconut bras, hula skirts, stuff like that. it was really fun. another cool idea i think is a hotel. you could give out, like chocolate toothpaste and edible bathroom appliance stuff that you get during your stay (its not real of course). people can get like a room key while coming in and stuff. i also think having a flapper party would be really awesome! write on the invite that guys should wear zoot suits! lol

First of all, it's about time you celebrated your birthday! And secondly, having it the day after graduation is probably going to put a damper on the festivities. Plan to have it on a different week. You also will need to come up with a budget for the party and a guest list. You can have a really good time without breaking the bank! Sometimes, if you know you're going to have a big celebration for another occasion, its perfectly ok to just invite a few close friends to celebrate your special day! What's your favorite restaurant? Color? How about a slumber party with girlfriends? If you don't have your special, big-time bash on your 17th, you can begin planning for your 18th.....which is huge!

ya on a limo to a mall have dinner go to a movie

You and a couple friends go to the spa and get all dolled up... manicures pedicures hair etc and then go somewhere really fancy and celebrate all dressed up. Fun and classy but not young and childish.

Have a sleepover,have Ice cream cake.watch a movie,read magazines,talk about girl stuff,give makeovers,gossip,etc etc.
