How do you throw a birthday party for 3 friends at once?
2 of my friends are turning 40 and one is turning 42..we (friends and husbands) want to throw this all together. I am looking for ideas, themes...the only one I have is 122 years of experiance

A favourite of ours is to hire a bus and head out to the wineries on the outskirts of town and spend the day wine tasting and easy gourmet fresh produce.

Just take them all out to eat at a restraunt they all like,if it is a surprise suggest some names and see which one they would enjoy most.Just bring it up in conversation and say..maybe we should all meet up and go out sometime.Then have other members set it up and volia.
Call one by one separately and invite him for a surprise party for the other two. In this way you will gather every one (in a club or restaurant or book a hostel for the weekend) and it will definitely be a surprise for the three of them.

Well if you are having a party for people that are all around the same age. Try to make it a nice age appropriate party. If you have an old picture of the three of them togther maybe when they were little then you could have a banner. Saying Lordy Lordy They're actually 40. Its humerous and gets a good laugh. mayve have a louow (the hawaiian theme) that is always very enjoyable
