Im looking for different figures for a 1 yr old girl.

Answers:
Depending on the theme, you may want to use candy molds, which come in many sizes and shapes.

Wilton makes several molds that you could use, but I would suggest that you use cold water to make the gelatin, not hot, or allow the gelatin to cool to lukewarm. If you poured hot liquid gelatin into these molds, you might melt or warp them. There are also similar molds and kits for making Gummy candy.

These molds are sold at Michael's craft stores, and Hobby Lobby carries a similar brand of molds, Make'n Mold. If you have a local variety store that has cake decorating supplies, they should carry some as well.

If you just want simple shapes, the Reynolds company (Reynolds wrap aluminum foil, etc.) has those new Fun Shapes baking cups and cake pans (usually sold in grocery stores near the cake mixes), although these may be too big if you want them to be kid-sized. Another option is pouring the gelatin into a shallow pan (a jelly roll pan or cookie pan with a 1/2 inch edge) and then use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.

Wilton also makes mini shaped pans, which have 4 or 6 cavities for making small cakes. There are also similar silicone "pans" and pans to make smaller seasonally-shaped cakes. All of these would work well for creating gelatin molds.

Good luck and Happy Cooking!
Maria

ikea or iceland

Wal Mart
Target
Party City
You can even use cookie cutters

Any craft store would have them, but you can also use any container as a mold. If your girl has a favourite toy that came in a plastic molded case, you can use it for a jello mold as well. Have fun and if you have older children, let them help make the molds. They'll enjoy it.

I actually got a lot of my jello molds at the candy shop. You can also use the different candy molds, just look for the deeper ones. They come in all sorts of kid friendly ideas. Use could in turn use those same molds for candy to give as a treat to send home with other kids. You can also find many other uses for those molds, besides just jello.

is there a tupperware.com if so, that be the place. You can make your own with sand and wax paper or plastic wrap or tinfoil.
My mom showed me how.
She got a pan, 6" deep or so, put sand in it, wetted it with water, placed one of my toys in it, kinda mashed it, pulled it out and poured the jello in. It kinda looked like an elephant, it was fun and the strawberry elephant tasted good.

How about a craft store like Michaels.

A few ideas:

Nordicware makes a wide variety of high quality molds and bundt pans. If you want to invest in a nice heart or star shape, Kohl's would be the place:http://www.kohls.com/products/product_pa...

Silicon Zone has tons of ice cube trays/smaller molds of things like fish, shells, tropical, fruits, and more. You can buy these right through amazon.com
