I'm looking for websites to make birthday cakes for kids?!

Question:

I'm looking for websites to make birthday cakes for kids?

My son is turning 6 and I'd like to make him a cute cake. I'm having a hard time finding good ideas online. Thanks

birthday cakes are made in the oven, not on websites....
worry more about making a cake that tastes great to a 6 yr old, than one that looks cute to you. gummy worm cakes are hilarious.

I think best thing to do 1st of all, is to figure out what theme he likes and then try to connect the ideas to the theme, you might be surprised with what you come up with for the cakes. Try not to put too much time into it becuase the kids will eat it no matter what, also make sure the cake is not too complicated and other kids can eat it without allergies etc... For example if he is into trucks or cars etc, make a sheet of cake and get candles that are shaped like cars/trucks put on top frosting, or find a pan that shapes into truck/cars molded, and then maybe copy a design/color you like for the frosting on the cake. Hope this is helpful.
www.foodnetwork.com might be helpful since it's website of all great chefs.

Women's World magazines always has cool cakes that you can make. I'm not sure of their web site but you can google them.

hey... check out http://sumiram2006.googlepages.com/desse...
It has recipes for quite a few tasty cakes and desserts that can be prepared easily from home ..

Try some of these. They also provide ideas around your entire party.
Good Luck
