Ideas for housewarming party favors?!

Ideas for housewarming party favors?

I am throwing a house warming party and i know my friends and family will bring gifts, and i want to do something special for them too. Any ideas on gifts for my guests?

Hmmm let's see ... think useful and/or delicious since no one wants to take home a useless plastic thing or a bad tasting waxy candy. Heh heh... here are some ideas: Many stores have See's candy chocolate bars for only $1.00. If you have a small gathering (say15 or less) the cost is reasonable. Wrap these bars individually with beautiful bows. This makes a delicious and fun take home gift. Go to Bath and Body Works and get a bunch of hand-sized, great-smelling lotions and lip balms. Put them all in pretty basket and place tiny bows on them. Let guests help themselves. Another fun thing to do that costs less is to make your own fortune cookies. I made these and since they dry very fast after cooking and require quick shaping, it's a good idea to make them with a buddy. First create your own fortunes (that is the fun part) on your computer. Make the fortunes funny, positive, meaningful or whatever you choose. Make a bunch of fortune cookies and give each guest her own little carton full. Place a tag on each carton that says, "thank you for your kindness.". You can find the cartons at nearly any craft store. Ex: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displ...

A candle that is decorated is always a nice gift and often inexpensive if you buy a bunch. You can buy plain candles and hot glue cinamon sticks around them, or buy nice ribbon and line the top and bottom or buy glitter to decorate with.

bouquet of flowers for spring

everyone will love it

mementos are a great idea. Jordan almonds are very common mementos in south america. i guess it all depends on your budget. Small journals with an engraving of your house on the front cover would be really kewl.

It has to be "home-oriented" of course!

-Mini whisks, cheese grater or peelers tied with elegant ribbons and small thank you tags
-Key tags in the shape of a house- many places have very nice silver or stainless items
-Goody bags of spring bulbs for their own homes
-Small plants like ivy or violets
-Small packages of cookies shaped like houses (cookie cutters available at craft stores)

Have fun!
