Breakfast Ideas??!

Question: Breakfast Ideas!?!?
My in-laws are coming next week and we have to work during the day!. What can I buy for them to eat breakfast on all week!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
My suggestion would be bagels, danish, cinnamon rolls, cereal, etc!. Have some special types of cream cheese or spreads and fruit on hand as well!. If you would like to make something, you could make a breakfast casserole, refrigerate it overnight, and bake it in the morning while you are getting ready for work!. They usually reheat well for the next few days as well!.

A few of my favorites!.!.!.

Cook Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients:

* 12 slices white bread, crusts removed
* 2 packages (16 ounces total) cream cheese
* 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, thawed
* 12 eggs
* 2 cups milk
* 1/3 cup maple syrup or other syrup
* !.
* Sauce:
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1/2 cup water
* 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
* 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation:
Cut bread into 1-in cubes; place half in a greased 13- x 9-i x 2-inch baking dish!.

Cut cream cheese into 1-inch cubes; place over bread!. Top with blueberries and remaining bread!. In a large bowl, beat eggs!. Whisk in milk and syrup, blending well!. Pour egg mixture over bread mixture!. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight!. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking!. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 30 minutes!. Uncover; bake 25-30 minutes more or until golden brown and the center is set!.

In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch; add water!. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly!. Stir in blueberries; reduce heat!. Simmer for 8-10 minutes or until berries have burst!. Stir in butter until melted!. Serve sauce with French toast!.
Serves 6 to 8

(I usually add extra blueberries to the sauce and casserole)

Our Christmas morning staple!.!.!. you can substitute ground beef or cubed ham for the sausage!.

Ingredients:
# 2 pounds of bulk sausage (can use a hot and a regular)
# 1 cup raw grits, cooked
# 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
# 5 eggs
# 1&1/2 cups milk
# 1/2 stick butter
# salt and pepper to taste

Brown and drain sausage and crumble in bottom of a 9x13 inch greased casserole!. Cook grits according to package directions (stiff is better than runny) !. Add butter and cheese to cooked grits!. Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper together and add to slightly cooled grits mixture!. Pour over sausage in casserole!. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour!.

I refrigerate this overnight before baking--- MUCH better that way!

Enjoy the visit! Hope these help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Consider whether or not they have specific dietary considerations and take them into account when you are planning your grocery list!. Have plenty of coffee, tea, and creamer on board, along with sugar and sweetner for those so inclined!. Many folks only eat a light breakfast that consists of toast and jam, coffee and maybe some juice!. Others want a larger meal which would include eggs, bacon or sausage, toast or sweet breads/rolls, and fresh fruit!. So, perhaps you can have some staples on hand, such as eggs (some hard cooked ones too), canadian bacon, precooked sausage or vege sausage patties, sweet rolls, whole grain bread for toast, low sugar jams/jellies, maybe a nice homemade banana bread and some cereal!. On the weekend that you don't work, plan a nice brunch for them or let them take you to brunch~!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is great for in-laws!. Buy things like bananas, cereal, dried fruit like prunes or apricots (alot of older ppl like that type of thing)!. Don't buy pop-tarts or any food like that!. Usually, they don't like that type of thing!. Umm!.!.!.yogurt or pudding, too!.!.!.would be good!. Things like bagels and cream cheese they like as well!.

Hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Okay, get some cereal, just pick one that looks yummy!.
Pancake mix, the ones where you only have to add water are the easiest!.
Fresh berries would be nice with the pancakes!.
Some toast, and cream cheese to go along!.
And last but not least some tea and coffee!. Nescafe is a good brand!.
