What would be a good invitation for a costume party that is not for Halloween?
My friend and I are going to have a combined birthday party and want it to be a costume party. I can't find andy invitations for a costume party that doesn't have Halloween stuff on it. What aould be a good idea for a invitation?
Answers:
Make cut outs of mask shaped cards, decorate them to look like masquerade masks and put the invite information on the back of the mask. If you go to one of those photo stores or a craft store you can find everything that you would need. Making them colorful and using glitter and stuff.
Spring ball
make up your own Invitations asking folks to a Spring mascaraed Ball
send pics of your coochies and say come and get it.
My suggestion would be go to a costume store with a few of your friends and model different wild and crazy costumes. The take pictures and take it to Walmart or Sams and make your own invitations... With this idea you can make it exactly how you envision it.
Be sure to include you must be in costume to enter the party!
why dont use a halloween one.... jajaja it will be funny something like ....
I know is not halloween, but the pumkin looks cute and we would celebrate $%^%&%& i dont what else... you continue it... jajaja good luck
Use those little paper bowl / plates that are shaped like animals for invitations . they come in a variety pack of different animals , but I don't remember what brand. There probably at any local grocery store. I 've seen them at Krogers and Dollar General stores. You can even make everyone come as the animal they get on their invitation. See how many different varities people come up with esp. people with "same"animals may be totally different then the person's next to them. You can have contest for best in certain group. The thing is , you may have to hand deliver invitations unless you can fold plates enough to fit in envelopes.
Well you could go with a more adult idea like a Masquerade party, or theme the costumes - I went to a disco Madi Gras party a couple of years back and I have to say it was absolutely awesome!
If you aren't sending out the invitations personally you may want to think about e-vites... they have a few adult costume party invitations on there that aren't Halloween party ones.
I like the idea of just doing Halloween invites because it's wacky and unexpected, but most people aren't too keen on dressing up for Halloween when it's Halloween, so I wouldn't risk it. The old fashioned masked balls simply required a highly decorated eyemask. You could take that idea and make the invitation eyemasks with decorations on one side and all the information for the party on the other side.
Make your own invitations. I did a surprise 40th birthday and asked everyone to wear black & white clothes. The house was decorated in black using crepe paper in the dor ways, over the windows etc. I used black throws on the chairs and couch. We had black jelly beans in candy jars. I had a dozen 'rather dead' roses spray painted black. to top it all off I had a friend provide a casket and placed a nude blow up doll in it. the 'black roses' were placed between the dolls legs. the party was for a 40 year young lady..............and she was suprised...and shocked.and had FUN
Homemade decorated masks are a great idea. Just be sure to keep them simple so they won't be damaged or crushed in the mail. I would suggest a nice paper or thick parchment, cut into mask shape, glitter around the edges and the eyeholes and ribbons attached. You could use sequins, fabric, and felt.
If you want to do online - use evite.

Have a great time!
The Pirate Party.
Invitations are all cut from one set of treasure map directions
which seekers must match with others to locate exact spot to
dig up the rewards. Let the party walk the walk while talking the talk around the property or down street to city park, etc.
Hopefully the treasure will eliminate any thirst that gets worked up. Don't make the clues toooooooooooo difficult.
