I live in Houston, Texas, home of no decent chip shops. For God's sake, go to the chip shop & think of all the wretched chipless souls in the world (or at least me) when you raise the bottle of malt vinegar.

No - I suggest you make something at home. Start with home made soup using all the veggies you've got, then roast a swan and do all the trimmings including seaweed stuffing, for the sweet course do yourself a nice creme brulee and to finish, a selection of cheeses including some made from buffalo milk. Then wash it all down with an 1876 vintage Port.
Alternatively, you can always go down the chippy ! ! !
