Question:

What sort of chocolate can you / do you use in a chocolate fountain?

Answers:
I use Cadburys Chocolate Mmmmmmmm....but you've gotto add a little vegetable oil when you melt it so that if flows smoothly!!!!!

Hershey's syrup! I just saw a chocolate fountain in our local Piggly Wiggly store & I seem to recall someone saying it was Hershey's syrup. The fountain was a big hit on Grand Opening Day. I loved dipping the strawberries into the fountain. :)

you can use pretty much any chocolate you like - although my favourites to use are Cadburys and Galaxy.

you might want to try cooking chocolate, as most other chocolate is not really suppose to be heated up.

i get mine off ebay -

I'd say melted dark or milk chocolate chips. Just pop em in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.

I was going to ask a question regarding my choc fountian I am using for the first time tonight! If you read the paperwork with it I remmebr it mentioning it's best to use Bavarian Choc. Where to find it is a question too. I'm headind to Trader Joes, I beleive they sell it , if not off to World Market.....Hey, good luck! I can't wait to use mine!

white chocolate with mint peices, something different, with a hint of freshness!!!!! yumm plus the green and white gives it some colour rather that "brown"

you can use any kind...but Cadbury's is the best.Read the instructions as you need to add a little oil to it as well...happy dipping !!

Any. I went to a party that had chocolate fountains for white, dark and milk chocolate. You have to add veg oil to make it flow properly.

You use Chocolate Wafers but I found out the hard way you also need some sort of oil. Check with a store like Bed Bath and Beyond for the wafers and look online for a recipe. The instructions that come with the fountain may also have some recipes.

Any chocolate, but the best kinds are Cadbury's and chocolate syrup

i get mine from,thornburys.its lush

The best you can afford!

Go to thorntons, their choc chips are ready packed and they will tell you how much you need. It has to be a certain consistency to run through the machine so its best to buy one that is correct and therefore you dont need to bother with veg oil.

i use galaxy bars then dip marshmellows and strawberrys in yummie .
