Party Deco.?!

Question:

Party Deco.?

ok i need some ideas for decorations for a 12th B-day Spa Party

Answers:
flip flops are cool to decorate as a fun thing to do , cheap flip flops and use snall strands of material or ribbon , tie the pieces around the rubber piece. tropical drinks, with the little umbrellas, beach towels, sunglasses. Have fun , sounds like a great party. Check out oriental trading .com

Candlelight
Rainforest CD sounds (soothing)
maybe some kind of Asian-sounding "zen" music
white towels everywhere

Be sure and tell everyone to BYOR (Bring Your Own Robe!)

Have a waterfall or fountain going for sure. Have little stations for the girls. example, foot station were the girls can apply foot lotion and paint each other's toes and maybe add little stickers in there too. Next have like a face mask station and be sure that you set a camera down at that one so that they can take funny pictures of each other with their masks on. Next have like a little hike in the backyard. Maybe even a scavanger hunt. Most spas have some kind of outdoor activity scheduled in the day somewhere. Have some aromatherapy candles going in the background, lavander is a good one. Good luck. Keep it simple - so that you can relax as well. wink

Hey, you ought to check out the Foodnetwork.com's "Semi-homemade". Sandra Dee goes all out with the recipes and her "tablescape" as she calls it. I don't know if watching her show could help you bring about the party that you have in mind but her tablescapes might help you decide what to do. Good luck :)

Change ur den/bonus room into a spa haven. Get a boom box and put n calmin music. Make ur lil brother or big sister do everything for ur party. Have ur lil bro serve the food & have ur big sister clean up after everyone. Have tables with towels layin on top of them to make the girls feel comfortable while they r laying on the tables. Have people to paint the girl's toe nails and do facials. Then at the end of the day yall can do eachothers hair and go to the mall to show off ur make overs & take pics.

Ask your mom or an older sisiter to be the makeup artist.
In the goodies bags have samples of different types of shampoo and bubble baths.
Another idea is rip out a bunch of perfume ads that have the scent on the ad and make it a perfume trying station.
You could even make your own face masks.
Be sure to have cucummbers for everybodys eyes.

Decorations could be lots of different size candles and cucummber water pitchers.

I know this may seem expensive, but it is definitely worth looking into...each girl only cost me about $5 each.Girls love being professionly pampered! Make homemade facials. Depending upon their skin types, use bananas, honey, apples, etc. Girls love mixing their own facial recipes and smearing it on their face!Get them each a hair band to hold their hair back as they lay on a cozy chair listening to soothing music, smelling scented candles, wearing cucumbers over their eyes, and giggling at themselves in the darkened room. After that, let them make their own lip balm. It is super easy and very inexpensive as it is just a combination of shortening and powered drink mix. Buy a decorative small container, but you could even buy empty tea candle at the dollar store or use 35mm film containers.Have them decorate their containers with markers and stickers. Make them each name their lip balm and kiss a piece of paper to see who had the best name and the best pucker. This gets a lot of laughs. As prizes, give away some inexpensive dollar store beauty items. Afterward, give them cute cupcakes and ice cream . Before they go home, each should be given a gift bag with coloful tissue paper filled with nail kit items (nail clippers, file, tweezers, scissors, and cuticle remover)that can be bought at the dollar store for a $1 a set. Also put in little candy lipsticks and necklaces because every kid loves candy! It will be a great party for under $100!

I adore spa parties. Pampering is so female, but we are so good at it. I am sure it will be a great time. For decorations, try
-Move around furniture to create open spaces
-If you're hiring people, create a few private rooms or areas- a bedroom for the masseuse, the living room for manicures, etc
-Have stacks of fresh clean towels, washcloths, handmade soaps or gels
-Give everyone a fresh spa robe as a gift, or ask they bring one and a pair of slippers
-Have vases of fresh flowers as many places you ccan
-Dim the lights, light candles even though it's daytime
-Set out dishes of potpourri
-Play relaxing/nature music cds the entire time
-Lavish and SPOIL- that means show how much you care, doing lots of little things for the girls.
-Making homemade soaps, lip glosses and masks is a great activity. There are easy recipes on line
-Invitations can be shaped like bottles of shampoo or nail polish
-Keep the menu light- Mini sandwiches, mini burgers, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip, and if you MUST do pizza (yes, I know it's 12 yr olds)- use a cookie cutter to cute the pizzas into stars or hearts

-Take photos and post an online scrapbook for the girls

Have fun, hope you can relax!
