How to throw a great party?
I want to throw a great house party but I'm not sure how...What kind of music...How many people...What kind of drinks and foods...Really how would you make a great party to remember???

Move all the furniture somewhere else(mayb ur room) so nothing gets broken...Have someone bring something to eat...make plans ahead of time. IDK bout u but I like Rap and R&B, if u have an ipod go an buy an ipod hi-fi or w/e it is. It costs around 350 dollars if u dont have any money ask a family member or good friend if they have 1 and if u could hold theirs. If u dont have any way to get a hand of anything I just said....Playing the radio is a great way to have music 2. On the breaks they could go to the restroom & refresh themselves. Or make like 3 burnt c.d.s with ur fave songs on there play them on ur radio. Make sure there's a variety not all Jay Z, Beyonce', or Kanye West songs on one c.d. Then with the genre don't do the say thing, have a slow song, then a fight song, then a dance beat, then one of those songs u just have to listen to when ur down. Then repeat it usually start ur party with a dance song to get everyone "Poppin'" and rowded up. End ur party with a slow song to let everyone kno that ur party is about to end.
I would say mayb 30- 40 people. Out of that ask 5 people to bring chips, 6 to bring drinks, 4 to bring cups & napkins, 4 to bring plates & silverware, 2 to bring entrees, 3 to bring cookies, 6 to bring deserts, ask the remaining people to help u pay for the pizzas u wanna buy.
Provide a tv n another room for people who r eating, chairs, a.c., and ice!!!

About 15 fun people and some alcohol should make it interesting enough. Throw in a funny movie and let the hilarity ensue.
finger foods are easiest. I had Giant Food put together a tray of wraps, cheeses, and a fruit tray. I bought some higher end boxed wine (it is available) and a selection of various kinds of beer. It was an open house with between 20-35 people. Everyone had a great time. I used my ipod nano and just hit play.
A keg of beer is a great start to any party. Unless you are under 21.
make sure there are enough women there. Nothing ruins a party more than having 30 guys and three chicks.
Try not to let people bring friends of friends of friends. In other words, if there are too many people there that no one knows, fights will break out, especially if there's alcohol.
Put away valuable or fragile things so they don't get broken or stolen.
Music usually can be anything at first, but the later it gets, and drunker people get, the more they want the loud rhythmic dance type music.
Keep the food simple and cheap. Maybe you can make good food for your closer friends, and have them come over early. If 50 people show up, you don't want to feed them all sandwiches pizza or tacos, or you;ll go broke. People just want to have fun and get drunk anyways.
It is your party.. so what do you like to drink?.. start with that or make it a bring your own party...
Music? your favorite as it is your party
Next - invite your friends and people you would like to *become* your friends
For food.. you could make your party a ***CHILI-CHILL*** party.. a big pot of chili and lots of ice for the drinks... lol
You could always have the grill going with the burgers and such too.
