Im having a party and i need ideas on what to do.?
I just moved to newport beach and my grandpa opened his house to me for a party to meet new people. His house is huge and beautifll. I can hire a dj and have food and drinks. Any ideas on songs food choices and things to do....like should i have games or is that lame. any good games to get to kno people would be helpfull. there will hopefully be a lot of ppl there. any ideas plz share!

Something with a theme. If you were born in the eighties do that. People love fancy dress and the eighties theme will be easy to dress for plus there's loads of great party style music from that era. Good luck hope you have a great time and meet loads of new friends!
My sisters and I had a B-Day party for our mom and her friends, who are much older, of course.....we had prepared goodie bags for all of the guest, but in order to receive your gift bag, you had to do some thing 1st. We had an "Art Corner" set up in another section of the house. The art corner was filled with crayons, markers and coloring books. Before the party was over, the guest of honor, or the hostess of the party in your case, looked over all of the entries and decided the top 3 pictures. Each winner was awarded a prize (something inexpensive that we bought from the dollar store). Little did everyone know, they ALL were going to get gift bags at the end of the night, whether they painted a picture or not........Everyone LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!
you could play apples to apples, its a game you can buy at a store, and its a good game to meet people, because you find out what people think about different things, and it is really funny
If you get to have a DJ, and the if the house has enough space, make room for a dance floor. Also, have some good drinks, they don't all have to be alcoholic, but can still be classy and fun to make. Try virgins of your favorite drinks, yum! Also have some good snacks, but just finger foods, and some yummy desserts (also finger desserts) Don't make anyone have to sit down to have a quick bite.
Hire in a fortune teller or a palm reader.. they will remember your party forever... kids luv it...
no games please... pizza & pop and snackies
