I need some help in coming up with a sweet 16 party theme thats hasn't been over used, and that doesn't cost much..i'm on a super tight budget, but i want to have a sweet 16 party that my friends will remember...something that is also elegant yet fun! any help will be greatly appreciated!!!???

Super tight budget - Memorable -

Guess you will have to do a 70's theme as most e-1 already has the bells and the mid drift tops. All that they need with it is beads/bracelets/large earrings and headbands. Even some of todays music is *right on*... good ol Rod Stewart... lol

Food
Popcorn
Nachos & chili-cheese dip
Pizza

***PARTY*** Is Found In Attitude
YOU set the mode and the rest will follow

A Hollywood party, a masquerade party, a formal dance with black and white wear, or a royal bash.

A masquerade party's always fun. Have your guests wear the masks you provide with the invites, and have the girls wear nice dresses and the guys in tuxedos! Cute, fun, and appealing!

What ever you choose to do, I hope you have a grand sweet sixteen!

Do like a "Royal Ball" type of thing...that'd be so fun!!

Everyone gets to dress up with tiaras and stuff..oooo!

I wish my 16th birthday had been fun...my friends were all grounded because of stupid school pranks and the ones who weren't grounded werent exactly party animals...so we sat around eating chips and cookies and watching stupid movies...IT SUCKED!

Ya know, you could always be a brat and hire the sweet sixteen show crew to film it.
Then while youre on TV, you can be cruel to your parent and everyone else around you.

-OR-

Some ideas:
tea party-just rent a tearoom and invite all your friends to dress up and go there for a small lunch

An evening in the gardens- if you have a botanical garden in your city, you could invite all your friends to go there and enjoy the scenery.

A Hint or two:
You could ask your whole family to pitch in on food and do something simple and tasty like barbecue (as barberic as that amy sound)

Sock hop (50's theme)

You should have a masquerade. Everyone should make really fancy looking masks (go to hobby lobby) and dress really nice. Decoration should include fake pearls, fake diamonds, ect ect. Check online for some fancy recipes for cakes. Good luck!

U could do a Night in Paris(not that kind....) theme. Everything will b French except for the music. And 4 the entertainment u can have a Fashion Show....or if u don't like that idea...Look at these luscious cakes and then mayb u can find a theme!!!

If that link doesn't work just go to www.cakecentral.com then go to galleries...these cakes r so cool(hamburgers, popcorn, waffles, etc....)

pajama theme...you can hav a sleepover!!! lol and you can buy food and drinks and watch movies and stuff...very fun

whats her desire vacation? make it happen , take a room in the house decorate it like that place, every one dress like that
go to the news paper office they will give rolls of paper away and make a scene of say Hawaii, or what ever her dream place is

welll fer ur sweet 16... um i think yu shud do like a theme that yu like the mostt && just have fun with it or make a place like a winter theme??

Maybe these links will help!

I think a cool idea would to be your favorite TV or movie character. Your friends could dress at home and bring a food. That's half of the expenses, right there! =]

How about poverty and what its like not having birthday parties, Take everyone invited to a homeless shelter or food kitchen and donate needed items or food and help out. No one else has done it and yu will remember it for sure.

Candy Shop
Make the invitation a candy necklace with the info tied on.
Have pretty glass bowls and vases filled with your fav candy.
It would be really cute if it was all bright colors.
Use runts, lifesavers, starburts, skittles.... that sorta thing
Have a taste area where you can taste all the different candy.
Try to get to exotic candy too.
Have the drinks served be brightly colored.
On the invitation suggest brightly colored clothes to match the theme
The cake can be decorated with different candy
Favors could be candy jewlery.
Hope that helps!
Happy Birthday
