Underground club decorations?
My sweet sixteen party is in May and I was kindof going for the whole "underground club" type of thing. We rented out a place that has low ceilings and is very casual, but it looks nothing like something you'd throw a rave in! Anyone have any great ideas for making it look better/ decor?
Answers:
-Go for some colored and funky lighting options. The lighting will really make or break it. See if you can get blacklights, strobes, colored lightbulbs, etc. If worse comes to worse, get strings of colored lights and put them everywhere.
-Cover the windows with black crepe paper or black spider web material
-Have lots of glow sticks, rings, necklaces everywhere for people to play with and use. Maybe give them out in people's goodie bags or at the door.
-London's subway system is also called the "underground" so you could use the subway stops as part of your theme.
Check out this fabulous site for items if you want to spend a little. They have big colored lighted fountains, cubes, lava lamps, water bowls and more. The cool thing about these items is you can bring them to college with you in a couple of years and they are cool dorm room items.
