I need help planning a sweet sixteen!?!

Question:

I need help planning a sweet sixteen!?

I am turning 16 in a few months and i am going to have a party, my sister had one a while ago that was all fo fo and nice and i just went to one that was cinderlla themed and they were both nice and all but i am defanitly not that type of girl. I dont like having all the attention or being announced or walked in and...im more edgy i guess you can say. I dont want to wear pink or white or any of those colors. When i was at a dress store shopping, an emplyee suggested a theme of "Pretty in Punk" instead of "Pretty in Pink" and i completly fell in love with the idea....now i just need help with ideas for how to make it happen. any suggestions for decorations? the dress? favors? invitations? anything?

Answers:
get big posters of punk bands (ebay, online stores, etc) and hang them everywhere. Maybe you could rent guitars and drum sets from a music store to decorate the room or hang from the walls/ceiling. Don't know how crazy you want to get. Black and silver decorations.

look online at wikipedia for more info on the Punk scene and for inspiration.

You could take blank CD cases and print your invites on the CD jackets.

Make the dress code black/white/red or something? No pink! And then you show up in a silver dress...

favors could be a mix CD of great punk songs that you put in the invitations. relatively cheap and fun.
have fun - it's a good idea :)

I say have every one dress "punk" maybe have a prize for the best one...I bet you could go to a thrift store and get mismatched sheets and "tag" sheets for the decorations. Sadly I really don't know what classifies "punk", these are just a few fun ideas.

Get pizza. :-)

Suggest you walk into the nearest Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Shop and lay out your problems with the
good looking young men who staff the shop. Their
merchandise has a certain charm both on the street
and punk wear. Go smell the black leather, hon.
